In 2024, I would imagine myself in a vastly different position than I am in now. I would have been in the community for nearly four years at that point, and I'd probably have participated in many projects and got to know a lot more people by that point. The 'Shroom would be past it's 200th issue by 2024, and I'd be lying if I said that I hadn't thought about to to commemorate that milestone in my 'Shroom sections, once or twice. Whatever position I am in, I definitely imagine myself as still an active community member. Personally, my life will have changed a lot, I would transition a full-grown adult, and I'd have to deal with life beyond high school (which is scary for me to think about!).
As for the community itself, I'm not really sure how much it would change, but I can't imagine that it would change by a significant portion. I can still see the Poll Committee and Awards Committee existing, but I'm not sure how active the community would be compared to now. From what I've seen and heard, there doesn't seem to be as many new members who stick around in the long-term and participate in community events, and that general activity on the forums has been waning. While I don't have a guess as to whether there would be a larger number of new users compared to now, I don't think that would be entirely necessary, as long as there are people who are motivated to help out in the community, which we have many of currently. I've noticed general activity shifting to Discord, and I'm guessing that gradually, that's going to continue as time progresses, but it makes sense for the Boards to stay up for those who prefer them, and for community events such as the Awards.
