    @Dark Light can you keep me up to date when you've fully formulised your response to it?

    i've not read the book but i basically gather that it's about how transitioning is 'damaging' and 'irreversible' to kids (with a particular emphasis on AFAB children). which is bull because it's mostly getting a haircut a boy's name and not wearing a skirt. maybe on occasion they can administer safe and reversible hormone blockers but they'd not get testosterone (which is very hard to reverse due to facial hair, deeper voices, etc.) until much later and they've been through thorough pyschological assesment to ensure that those changes are in their best interests

    @MiracleDinner Sure thing. I shared it on a Discord server and I had fun jeering at it with other people. The writer of the book has an extremely Boomer attitude about things, she thinks that the rise of the smartphone is the reason more teens these days get depressed.

    You see, I do acknowledge that people were saying that Cranky Kong is the original donkey Kong. But I disagree with it because I do have two sources that make me think that the donkey Kong we know today is still the one from the original donkey Kong games. How do I know this? In the official guide to Mario it states "It doesn't take much to set DK off and send him down the wrong path as seen in the Mario vs Donkey games". Another source is that in the smash ultimate character bio, it states that Donkey Kong didn't have a tie until the Donkey Kong country games. In the original arcade games we don't see him wear a tie but in the later games, we do see him wear a tie. Not to mention it says that this donkey Kong debuted in 1981. So to me, it seems like Nintendo intended this Donkey Kong to always be the one we knew from the original arcade games, and it makes more sense because Mario and DK had are frenemies with each other and it makes more sense for this donkey Kong to be the only one he fought that can explain the bitterness between the two. Again, I know you likely won't agree with me. But I hope you know where I am coming from.
