October has absolutely no business whatsoever being in the 90s.

Yeah that I get but the specific term 'upset' makes me think you're personally unhappy with it being warm. Yes, on a grander scale it being warm at this time of a year is a bad thing, but that's not how it read to me
So there's a barcade in my college town that rotates out arcade machines every so often. I go in there tonight and they had Mario Kart Arcade GP, so naturally I play it...

Y'all. Arcade Mario Kart is a whole other LEVEL of insane
for the love of all that is good, if you decide to watch Oshi no Ko DO NOT look up anything about the characters or the plot before watching the first episode. don't make my mistakes please...
It is now my life mission to find a very specific episode of Jeopardy from the mid-2000's because as I recently learned, one of my professors was on the show

You might start here. I'm not sure how complete it is, but clicking on the individual numbers for the different seasons, you'll find that there's dates and, more importantly for you, contestant names listed.

Can poke around through the approximate date range and see if ctrl+f picks up on the name.

Ah, I should have been more clear. I know what episode it is but I'm trying to find it to watch it. (spoiler alert it's not going well)

Yeah I loved Fresca since like I was like in preschool (when this site was made)
Two things I learned last night:
    1. I have multiple types when it comes to favorite characters in fictional media
    2. One of those types is apparently "characters who take a nosedive off the cliff of sanity at one point or another"
Saw Dreamcatcher in concert tonight. Was an exhausting but AMAZING experience. Kpop concerts are no joke, y'all...
I love living next to neighbors who insist on setting off fireworks every two minutes 🙃 (this would be much less of an issue if I lived in the middle of nowhere but I don't and that's the problem rip)

I really want fireworks banned period, they're a legit health issue for war veterans and people who have cardiac problems.
~2 months until i move into a college dorm for the first time and i have to figure out which k-pop albums to leave at home. scary...
it's only wednesday (technically thursday now but shh) and ive already had 5 things of coffee this week. (usually it's only 1-2)

thaaaaaat's show week for ya tho!
Living in Iowa has made me realize how unrealistic snow and ice courses in Mario Kart are. I'm sorry but you cANNOT go 70+ mph around a corner when there's snow out and not expect to crash into a snow drift. Hell, you really shouldn't even be going that fast in snow to begin with!!! Also, Vanilla Lake 1 and 2 are straight up DANGEROUS.

    They're not even wearing helmets and I don't see a seat belt on them. That's a Y I K ES!

Also cars in traffic courses are more than content to run you over! What legal waivers must Mario and friends and Wario sign before they partake in such hazardous activities? And children are driving!

I'm surprised they allow such dangerous behaviors to be represented in a children's video game. Mario and his friends have a responsibility to be positive examples to the impressionable minds that witness their escapades. I think if Nintendo wants to keep the wallets of honest citizens, Super Mario should partake in more productive and healthy activities, like golfing or playing in the Olympics. Or gambling.
You ever just read a book that leaves you so emotionally wrecked yet entirely satisfied in every way?

It's Any Way the Wind Blows by Rainbow Rowell, it's the final book in my absolute favorite series ever. I have been very patiently waiting to be able to read it since it came out earlier this year (only got it yesterday). Reading it was the ride of a lifetime and now that I'm done with it I'm both glad to have an ending and sad that this IS the end.

Ah, the bittersweetness of a treasured series coming to an end, that, I understand fully. On one hand, it's nice to have the closure and to see everything brought to a conclusion - especially so if it's well-crafted and an emotional ride - but it's always a bit sad to say goodbye to the characters and world you've come to know.

I'm glad the finale had a satisfying ending for you, especially after your wait.

Night by Elie Wiesel, specifically the part where there's a guy who plays a violin to his death.

Story itself is brutal because it's the Holocaust but it's excellently written and extremely memorable, so glad we had survivors willing to tell accounts like this to others, despite how much pain and suffering they had endured. He might be dead now but the accounts will be in our memories forever, reminding us to not repeat the past's mistakes.
