What If Daisy Got Her Own Game?

Seeing as Peach got two games of her own (Super Princess Peach and Princess Peach: Showtime), does that mean that Daisy getting her own game isn't entirely out of the question? And if Daisy did get her own game, what would said game's gameplay and story revolve around?

@Barby Koala I never thought of that but now that you mentioned it yeah I would like to see Daisy get some games of her own. She doesn't really get that much attention in the Mario series overall, even though I think she is Luigi's girlfriend. :daisy:

Daisy just isn't enough of a standout character to get a game but she certainly can play as a close friend of Peach, where her energetic can-do personality contrasts with Peach's cautious and considerate (but not timid like Luigi) "let's not try to harm others" approach to things. Peach can get her own standout games, but Daisy's best bet is to co-star with Peach.

Daisy can be a star of this hack and slash epic action RPG with an in-depth combat system where she beats up Tatanga's army and some original eldritch abominations.

Daisy traits:

Flowers
Athletic
Nominal royalty

I think one could concoct a plot out of the royalty bit and then use flowers in a gameplay capacity. I'm getting "Princess is a title not a duty so she explores" + "manage flower resources". It's Hey Pikmin 2.

I don't personally agree with Luigi x Daisy ship and as such I would not want Luigi to be featured as Daisy's love interest if there were to be a Daisy-centric game. However, I would be okay with Luigi (and Mario) making an appearance.

I think there are many possible ideas that could work, but I think it would be great to bring back Sarasaland, its unique kingdoms and enemies, and its villain Tatanga from Super Mario Land. The gameplay could involve exploration, platforming, and/or RPG elements, or maybe even space shooter elements if Tatanga is going to be the main villain.

Yeah I agree. 👍

Wait though isn't Daisy Luigi's girlfriend canonically? Maybe I'm remembering wrong.

As far as I'm aware of there are no canon sources that confirm they're dating outright, if anyone is aware of one I'm happy to be corrected.

There is the statue of Luigi and Daisy dancing together in Daisy Circuit for Mario Kart Wii, which would suggest more than a close friendship. Luigi and Daisy's tag team name in Mario Party 5 is "steady sweeties" which also implies that they are in a relationship, but I'm not sure if the localization matches the original Japanese. Overall Nintendo seems to be purposefully noncommittal when it comes to confirming any Mario Characters being in explicit romantic relationships, especially nowadays.

I'm not invested in shipping personally, but that's the evidence I can recall of Daisy and Luigi dating in the games. There's definitely evidence that supports it, but I could see it interpreted as a close friendship too.

I would personally interpret the things you list as implicitly suggesting that they may be more than friends rather than "confirming they're dating outright" to quote my previous post, so I still don't feel Luigi x Daisy is really canon.

I was thinking of a plot and it goes like this:
Sarasaland was attacked by Tatanga again and he kidnapped the brothers (Super Princess Peach Plot) it's up to her to make things right and rescue the brothers.

(Correct me if this is a bad idea)

I think maybe Nintendo should make a sequel game to "Super Princess Peach" where you control both Peach and Daisy and it's called "Super Princess Sisters" and they both save Mario and Luigi from Bowser, like how in Zelda Echoes of Wisdom Zelda saved Link. Interesting idea, right?

I love Super Princess Peach so I'd love a sequel to that game (using the same pixel art style, just with suitably increased detail for modern resolution) where you can play as the other Mario girls. I'd hope the plot is something that isn't just "uh oh the male characters are captured lol such role reversal" but rather something that doesn't involve the male characters at all (except Bowser if he's the villain, but I'd also like it if there was an original villain or bringing back an old forgotten one). Ideally there'd be no love interest implications in such a game.

We already have a billion Mario platformers come on just make a Daisy game a genre Mario hasn't seen before.
I'm down for Daisy Dating Sim. The phrase itself even has a nice ring to it, like a tongue twister.

That honestly was Princess Peach Showtime, only without Daisy and a pixel art style.

I'll take back my comment, but I actually wanna see a dating Sim except maybe a child friendly without going too far.

That's what I said when I mentioned Tatanga

I would like a Daisy game. If you asked me before I would likely be uninterested in the idea, but I am now quite open to it. I am not certain what would be the best direction for it, but perhaps an RPG style game would be a good idea. Also would be a good chance to introduce a supporting cast for her, even if it's like one or two characters (as Luigi's Mansion had done with E. Gadd and Polterpup).

Thank you for reading.
