It was referring the game named "Sonic Triple Trouble" where there were 3 villains, Knuckles, Fang and Eggman, but the song has…4 villains?…I guess it's because of 3 souls but then there's just Sonic.

Ah, I was close. I've been through my fair share of FNF too. All time favorite has to be Mario's Madness v2, and I will argue that it is better than any FNF mod or the main game, after nearly three hours of content.
