Uninstall McAfee.

You don't need none of that shit, McAfee, Avast, Norton, all of that should be the first things you uninstall from a PC if it has it preinstalled and you shouldn't install it if you built your PC from scratch.
All you need on Windows is the built-in Windows Defender, common sense, and Malwarebytes for occasional deeper scans.

I got a 1-year McAfee subscription with my laptop, but when it ran out a couple months ago I realized just how freaking useless it was and just downloaded Malwarebytes instead

The family computer every time it turns on: "Your McAfee subscription has run out! Please renew to keep your computer safe!" or something like that. It doesnt go away until you click Later.
