  • Hey Milo-I like Mulan 2 and Brother Bear 2 and don't think they were bad-but there IS one Disney animated film that came out in 2004 I never liked even as a kid when I rented it on DVD from Blockbuster one time-"Home On The Range". Oh my God..........have you heard of that one? It's so infamous. And it was also made back when Michael Eisner was in charge of Disney-yikes. I didn't really like anything about it, especially the garish art style.

Wow you didn't like Megamind at all? That was actually a really good movie in my opinion. It's only the sequel and TV show that look like garbage.

When it comes to Shrek 5, I'd rather there be a movie about another side character since Shrek 4 already had an ending feel. But if it is about Shrek again, I would prefer there to be either only a Shrek 5, or if there will be movies past Shrek 5, an overarching story among them, so then it feels like each movie has a point related to each other instead of just more sequels for money.

By the way as far as Milo's Return I enjoyed it, but not nearly as much as the first movie. Mulan 2 and Brother Bear 2 I enjoyed as well, but not as good as the first movies of their franchises. Sometimes with specific things I like like Disney I can enjoy everything (or almost everything) with them even if it's bad, but not always; I mean I told you about how disappointed I was with Indiana Jones Dial of Destiny. That sequel was such a disappointment for me.

BTW I talked to MiracleDinner recently and she thought that Toy Story 4 was just "decent". I personally enjoyed it myself, but I do admit Woody leaving the rest of the toys to join Bo Peep-I don't know-felt kind of out of character for him. I probably would have liked the ending more if Bo Peep and that Polly Pocket police officer toy (whatever her name is; I forget) and the sheep and all that had joined the rest of the toys and gone home with them. It wasn't bad, but it could have been better. I enjoyed it anyway, but hey, again, that's just me. Despite my enjoyment of Toy Story 4, I remember being REALLY disappointed with "Lightyear". It was set in kind of an alternate universe and-I don't know-just really didn't because of that feel like a Toy Story-related movie. It was just...kind of weird. One of the things about the plot that really puzzled me was that Emperor Zurg wasn't actually a person-a villain-but this suit of armor floating around out in space aboard this spaceship that the villain of the movie somehow just found. What?! I don't know-"Lightyear" was just a really bizarre spin-off animated movie. It was just really really strange and honestly didn't feel at all like a Toy Story movie and THAT was my biggest disappointment with it. I mean I didn't like the fact that it didn't go with the original story and lore of Buzz Lightyear's character-well-the character the toy version of him was based off of. To be honest, if the story of the movie had stuck to the original lore and been faithful to that and set within that same universe, I think it would have done a lot better because it would have been what people were expecting. Like-we never once saw Star Command in the Buzz Lightyear movie-not even once! And what about Booster and Commander Nebula and XR the robot and Mira Nova from "Buzz Lightyear of Star Command" TV show? They were nowhere in the movie either. I would have liked to see them too. I loved that show growing up.

I like how the Flynn Rider unpopular opinion/swords meme makes it look like he's consistently standing his ground despite others intimidating him, when in the actual movie he's just in the split second of not having processed the threat yet and then fully caves in the instant after.
Love your new profile picture and name. It's a flashback to my childhood. I love Atlantis The Lost Empire and grew up with it. The sequel wasn't as good, but I liked that too.

@Milo Thatch Oh ok. By the way since your user picture is Milo Thatch that reminds me-one thing I wondered about as a kid was-Commander Lyle Rourke-he has gray hair and looks old-how is he so buff?! I mean I think he's, like, sixty something-he at least LOOKS old to me. How is he so physically fit and powerful as an old man?! His muscles are, like, huge! 😆

Oh you were referring to me taking a while to respond, Stats work baby

I mean, to work his way up and lead a mission like that he has to have well above average muscle for his age. Though some people get gray hair more on the quick end to be fair, so maybe Rourke is not quite that old and more like early 50's

@Milo Thatch Oh yeah; that makes a lot more sense LOL. Mrs. Packard (the cranky old lady who smoked) was really old though. I think she was the one on the submarine that manned the radio and stuff. LOL she would be talking to one of her friends and then something bad would happen and she'd be like "Hang on Margie; I'm getting another call..." XD She was such a pessimist too, which also was funny, like that one time she sarcastically said "We're all gonna die." I mean Dr. Sweet and Milo and Vinny and Mole and Audrey Remirez were my favorites but Mrs. Packard was pretty funny. I also remember when she read over the intercom that note she found somebody wrote as a prank that said "Attention! Tonight's supper will be baked beans-musical program to follow!" and she basically was like "Who wrote this crap?" That's one of the lines from the movie I remember the most as a kid actually-it was so darn funny. That and the L removed from the Motor Pool sign prank.
It seems really rare that I'm one of the people more excited for that there are new Percy Jackson books coming out than for the TV series. In particular that there's going to be a sequel to Nico's book released last year is really exciting for me as I loved the novelty in ideas and character development of that book a lot even though a couple parts of it could have been executed a lot better like its pacing. But even then, the silver lining to the first book having those flaws is that the second book improves on them and keeps the great parts of the first book that will likely make me appreciate it even more. That there's going to be an eighth book solely focused on Percy is cool too.

How do 4 out of 5 people not know about Dick Cheney now lmao

The question's options don't necessarily mean that most people have never heard of Dick Cheney, Don't know could also include people who have heard of him but don't have a strong opinion about his favorability.

I know but for these polls it's absolutely always been where any politician who's known, a lot of people have distinct opinions about their favorability, which is what makes me wonder if people just forgot who Dick Cheney was
I swear the structure of learning content in my Stats Experimental Design class is so bad in spots. Like why can't you just put the SAS coding formulas next to each analysis concept in the PowerPoints instead of making us fish around the textbooks for the coding, where sometimes words you look up have more than one meaning so you're running around in circles trying to find the right coding. And then a lot of the time he spends like the entire class on fairly easy to understand stuff but then does a 3-minute glossover of much harder material, and usually doesn't even explain in class how to do the coding which you NEED to know to get any of the questions on the midterm right coming up. I have an office hour meeting with him tomorrow so I'll try to explain that the coding needs to be seen more easily but while maybe he won't, if he just gives the "you should be able to find the coding" dodge when we're not able to instead of change anything I'm going to be frustrated.
I know some people really don't like how My Hero Academia ended, but being in the middle of Season 3 of the show form myself, I really hope that's one of those cases where there's just a popular/viral nitpick like "Deku gets a new job people see as slightly too silly after saving the world" instead of say "Deku turns out to be a bad person who endangers the world".

I don't watch that show but I can kind of relate because I've seen a similar thing with how a lot of MLP G4 fans kind of over-critique the later seasons of Friendship Is Magic. I think the whole show itself was really good, even the later seasons. Like, I don't think there was that much stuff bad with the later seasons. But yeah. Fans can be finnicky sometimes with critique of stuff. So yeah. I can kind of relate. Of course, that is if the series ends ok and not great but doesn't end bad.
My dad still wants to keep my app store blocked at 22 lmao I've already bought a new phone I use anyway. I'm so happy I'll be moving back to me college tomorrow so I don't have to deal with that screen time overprotectiveness for four months straight (as I still have slower connection because I don't want to use the house Wi-Fi server and have him find out & threaten to pull funding)
    Alex Parkinson

Yeah, I feel you there. Almost everyone loves their parents, but curse their overprotective nature. It doesn't matter the world is a dangerous place, sheltering your kids will only do more harm than good.
    MegaBowser64
    MegaBowser64
I believe a certain amount of sheltering and restrictiveness from parents can be constructive, but there's a point where you can't tell your kids what to do anymore and just hope for the best.

@G Major Steven Stone I have three and a half hours of screen time a day and found out that's actually healthy when it comes to the Internet. If you get more than that it can be bad for your mental health, and on top of that, your online social skills will go down. Like, not making this up; it's been researched and tested. Surprised to find out my parents were right that I need to limit it. In the past when I had more than that amount of screen time it would be bad for my mental health, and I WOULD actually get worse at online social skills, so apparently this is what's best for me. However, I am allowed to use my computer offline pretty much as long as I want all day long. Anyway, as far as the screen time I get, hopefully your dad allows you at least THAT much screen time. If not, eh, when you move back out again you can do what you want. Other than limiting my screen time to that amount of time, my parents pretty much let me do my own thing with everything. They don't try to censor stuff for me anymore because they know I'm an adult and can handle a lot of the stuff they sheltered me from as a kid and a teenager, and pretty much all of the stuff I do they allow me complete privacy with, such as letting me watch whatever I want on YouTube, etc. And I really respect them for all that; not all parents can do that when their kids grow up. Sometimes they have trouble letting go. Once I'm done with college I'll be living in an apartment in town near our home but I'll still visit my parents often. Anyway, my parents are great when it comes to letting go. They allow me freedom and complete privacy with pretty much everything.
I am so happy over my summer internship I'm getting paid $19 an hour just to organize names for a polling company in an airconditioned room, as opposed to my last semester at college where I got paid $10 an hour to organize plates in a hissing with heat and humidity room.

Congrats you are getting paid around as much as city carrier assistant (not a dig at you, that's decent money)

Yeah it is a decent pay. For each of my last two semesters I'm taking five classes including at least one Statistics class for my minor in said field, so since I'm not planning to work resultingly the pay really helps.
I am DONE with summer classes for the summer, I took a US Criminal Law class and a Comparative Politics class. I preferred the US Criminal Law class because it was in person and not as stretched out (I'd been doing the Comp. Pol class since the middle of May so it's almost the entire summer) but both were good

    Milo Thatch
@Veneer Wait, you did eight courses in eight weeks? Was this in high school or early college? What were they?

I know one of my friend's girlfriend is interested in physical therapy, but I'm curious to know what you're planning to get a job in

college, i was uhhhh 15? 16? due to covid high schoolers were allowed to take actual (NOT dual credit) college classes over the summer and i maxxed out my credits since they were all free. they were anatomy 1, dosage and calcuation, nutrition, art appreciation, health and wellness for life, medical law and ethics, and i think one i'm forgetting lol. one of these professors flat out denyed my autism accomidations so hard that i up and took my midterm without accomidations (which is illegal btw) and it got him in big fat ass trouble LMAO

im gonna do basic nursing first but really wanna get into radiology. there's also a bunch of certificates in the medical field that can instantly let you work (CNA, QMA, phlebotomy..) that i am also picking up.
I wonder how Trump would have reacted if there was an attempted assassination of Biden
    MegaBowser64
    MegaBowser64
Despite how he clearly holds zero respect for Biden, I don't think Trump would ever endorse an assassination (or attempted assassination) of him, nor do I think Biden would ever endorse an assassination or attempted assassination of Trump. I suppose both would probably give morally required condolences etc. and be done with it, of course taking necessary action against the attempted or successful assassinator.

And regarding an attempted assassination being theoretically not as bad as an actual assassination, that doesn't really work seeing as the motives and intentions of murder are the same regardless of results.

Edit: I tried to keep this politically neutral so let's try not to have a huge argument here

You know, there's some things that are probably just too potentially inflammatory even with you guys being generally chill about things, so honestly I'm just gonna say to not bring up that particular current event.

Oh. I missed something big. Trump was actually shot. At the time of commenting I had no clue on what had happened. Ummm. Ok. Wow. I just read it 30 seconds ago. Aaaaanyway, take my earlier comment with a grain of salt now that I know there was a real event that this profile post was talking about. Now I definitely agree it's best to leave this topic alone for now.
Whenever I've looked through 2000s music and the song topic is about a guy wanting to impress a pretty girl my relate-o-meter drops to 0 considering
I haven't played the fan localization of Investigations 2 so I have no attachment towards it but Sebastian Debeste is clearly a better name than "Eustace Winner". At least the former name doesn't just slap on a common English word as its last name

Hmm I guess that improves it by a bit. I still think Capcom needs to have moderation and not oversaturate actual English word names though as that would feel goofy/gimmicky

I just finished Danny Phantom yesterday with Phantom Planet, which… tbh kinda lives down to its acronym. The show as a whole was pretty good though with a worth watching first two seasons, at least.
I'm surprised that with Inside Out 2 there hasn't been more backlash that it's another sequel Pixar is making. I guess that's an indicator of how good the first movie was
