They didn't exist for a very long time, actually. Mario & Sonic at the Tokyo Olympics was made in 1964 but warped through a time portal and got zapped into Sega's headquarters in 2003, and only in 2019 they noticed and they were, like, "hell yeah, whatever, let's release dat shit"

ice skating eggman is a godsend but it's a shame they didn't call it "Ice Skating Eggman with Olympics as a bonus mode"
