  • Anyone know how to do a boost at the start of a race in Kirby Air Ride? Got the game recently and can't figure it out.
So I just found out that Bulbapedia has a directory page about fanmade content and an entire article dedicated to shipping, of all things.

(Uh, that would be character shipping, not product shipping lol.)

Shipping is wild honestly. People ship the randomest things in existence. But I never thought about Pokemon being shipped.

as a Pokémon fan, i can say that It's mostly the human characters lol

I don't care much about actual Pokémon getting shipped
Pokémon fanatics! I need a little help.
Is it worth it to buy the DLC of Scarlet and Violet? Need to know for myself and my brother.

I don't think I can give you a simple yes/no here, because $35 isn't insignificant, and there's enough of a mix bag that I think some folks will find that a worthwhile price to pay, and others won't. Let me go over a positives and negatives list to try and give you a better idea of what you'd be purchasing.

First off, just to establish the basics, you'd get:
    -The Teal Mask
This is an additional storyline that can be played at about any point in the game after the tutorials end. Levels will be increased if you play it after beating the main story, or will be all about in the 20s if you play it beforehand.
It's disconnected from the main storyline. Besides Jacq appearing, you won't see any familiar faces. You get one new major questline, a side story you can unlock after catching 150 Pokemon in the expanded dex, and a couple minor additional sidequests.
You also get a bunch of old Pokemon added back to the game, as well as a handful of new Pokemon (you can, however, trade for these even without the DLC)

    -The Indigo Disk
This is a post-game additional storyline that can only be played after clearing The Teal Mask. It ties in... a little bit, to the main storyline, but mostly it follows-up on the story told in the Teal Mask.
-Again, you get an expanded Dex. There are a couple minor sidequests. There's also a lot of things you can purchase with BP, including appearances from the Gym Leaders of Paldea and the school staff and additional battles/text/interaction with them. There's also a way of accessing a bunch of old legendaries.
-As above, there are a bunch of Pokemon that return, and a handful of new ones (again, you can trade for them without the DLC).

    -Epilogue
This actually is free, but you have to have completed the Indigo Disk to access it... so... it's "free", since it requires the DLC. It comes out January 11th.

    Anyhow, here's some negatives:
-No performance improvements. It's all the same glitchy Scarlet and Violet.
-Personally, I didn't really feel like the DLC did what it could have done in expanding on the main storyline. I feel like we got some neat teases that ended up having underwhelming conclusions.
-The Indigo Disk is very grindy if you want to access everything it offers. There are a bunch of quests you have to do to build up BP, and BP builds... slowly. It's much faster, though, if you can do it with multiple players via the Union Circle.
-Occasionally it felt like they were padding out the Teal Mask with too many battles.
-I personally found it dissapointing how much of the Indigo Disk's expanded Dex was starters and their families, but that could actually be a positive if you really like them!

    Some positives:
-While I think the connections to the main storyline are underwhelming, I do think the Teal Mask and Indigo Disk tell a neat little story on their own.
-The Indigo Disk offers some really fun battles. They're mostly double battles, and the AI have well-built teams and use effective strategies. It reminds me a bit of Colosseum and XD, but the old Battle Frontiers aren't a bad comparison either. I don't think they're as challenging as the Frontiers, but they are a step up from Scarlet and Violet's main story.
-More chances to get unique Pokeballs like the Apricorn Balls and the Safari Ball, and you can catch old legendaries in them
-The new characters and new interactions with old characters are pretty fun.

I guess, at day's end, I'd say this. It's more of Scarlet and Violet, but telling its own story. If you like Scarlet and Violet as a whole, it might be worth getting. If all you like about Scarlet and Violet are the story they tell and the characters they have, and you don't particularly care about returning Pokemon, it's probably not for you. And if you don't like Scarlet and Violet in general? It's definitely not for you.

yeah, I kind of saw this coming, waning popularity, management problems, etc, so now gaming companies are having their own events.

About time, honestly. With the information that it isn't really that popular anymore plus the fact that it's become a bit controversial as of late, on top of the world coming off the heels of the pandemic and online events becoming more popular/mainstream...yeah, this was practically inevitable.

It was dead for a while, they're just confirming it.
I recently found a video that briefly showed part of a chart from the files of Mario Super Sluggers revealing the in-depth stats of each character, including the ideal times to swing as everyone, whether it be a smacking hit without windup or a full charge hit. Does anyone know where I can find the full chart?

Nice! Are you planning on trying the Flopside Pit?
How did you find it? Enjoyable? Difficult? Would you consider doing a challenge run of it ( see my recent profile post)

Yep! I'll probably have to tackle it next week since I can only do it at home.
It was relatively easy, actually. I pretty much just used Bowser (Fire Breath) and Barry 90% of the time, save for the 100th floor. Then I just used Luigi to breeze through it lol. But I really enjoyed it.
Hm… possibly. But first, I'd probably replay the game. I've been wanting to do that.
Anyone know why I'm no longer receiving emails from the Boards? I've checked all my inboxes and can't find any.
