    Hey, mind if you deactivate my account on here? I've quickly lost interest in being on this site just mere moments after joining.

    In the event something undesired happens to the Mario Wiki, or perhaps just for legacy reasons, do you have a back-up of the website or a reliable person to pass the server down to?

    I'm asking because, well, I'm largely ignorant on how these things are handled, and concerned about the years worth of community work suddenly ceasing to exist before the eventual heat death of the universe.

    i asked him once after something similar happened on another forum i'm on, where the webmaster died suddenly and it made the forum unusable

    Mariowiki is the website that houses all the mario info, and most people here in the forum contribute to the wiki.

    As for the shroom, its a monthly newspaper ran by a buncha users on mariowiki

    @Yoshi the Yoshifan Russian doesn't come with a J sound, so дж are used instead rather than ю. And additionally, Russian writes their words as it sounds, so руссиан would sound like "Roosseeahn" rather than "Russian". But aside from that, I know what you're saying, nice Russian keyboard!

    Can't really read the last sentence though. Hi, be the shchai? бы is also a real Russian word lol.

    Out of curiosity, is it possible to list why someone was banned outside the log, like, say, in their profile, or is it only meant to be known by those who were around to know them? (Sometimes I scroll through old threads and see a banned user and I think, "Now, what did THEY do?" but I don't ask because I figure it's already been explained at length and I don't want to bug people about the same topic twice.)

    Just a thought.

    Hey Steve, is it possible to make the gender preference on this site multiple choice rather than single choice?

    Also, I do feel like gender preference should be listed on the hover-over with the age and location so we don't have to do much digging to find out the gender preference of a user.

    Hi, the way the field is set up, it's a carryover from SMF and can only have one value at a time that's selected from a menu of options. One thing I did was change male/female to gender pronouns. If your pronouns aren't represented there then you could do No selection and the About field can be used to go into more detail. Unfortunately it can't be added to the hover thing because of the way that is generated.

    Yo, is it possible for user tags to auto-update when they are changed? For example in my thread here ( https://www.marioboards.com/threads/42409/ ), mine (Alex95) and John Doe are still displayed despite both of us having changed our username (Nightmare and Vera Misham respectively). The link still points in the right direction, however, so it's more of a minor visual detail that could be corrected.

    Not really, because the syntax that's saved in posts for user mentions looks like this: [USER=5162]@Alex95[/USER]. Updating that in all posts would essentially require a global find-and-replace on every rename, which is overkill. XenForo would have to change their tagging system to where it fetches the username rather than saving it directly in the text. @The Dark Core Not currently taking reaction requests...

    That's not an available permission. All you can do is edit the message within 5 minutes to say "oopsie didn't mean to send"

    Shouldn't there be a seprate section of the Forum Games for Roleplays? Seeing how they are bassically overflowing now.

    Yeah, but most people can figure out who the mods are easily, though, what happens if someone uses the dark color? Then people using the dark theme won't be able to see their name so I don't know.

    The colors exist for the purpose of easily and quickly identifying people who have moderator abilities. Allowing people to randomly recolor their names would defeat the purpose and confuse people who are quickly looking for someone, especially for new people who don't yet know who the moderators are.
