Thanks! When creating subjects, have a general understanding of the article in question. For example, if you were to create an article for a character, give a little bit about them in the opening paragraph and elaborate further down.

Try to get notable screenshots (like their appearance and important moments) of them. I usually take screenshots of videos and crop them down to only show the subject. Try to get the best ones possible.

Currently I'm creating enemy articles, so what I do is get a screenshot of the enemy and then create the article. If you haven't played the game they're from, watch gameplay to see the traits and abilities of the enemy. I have the opening paragraph Lyell about their appearance, where they are found and how they react to Mario and Luigi in the overworld.

Next, I explain all of the abilities and traits of the enemy during battle, in a "battle" section. I list the abilities in bullet points, and their traits in a small sentence above the list. If the enemy has multiple forms, I get screenshots of all forms before creating the article. Any extra images get their own "gallery" section.

Shower Fish s a good example of what an enemy article should look like.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!

Coming from an experienced editor, don't be afraid of writing articles. As long as you put effort in it, people are going to help you. My tips is just look at how other articles are structured, and copy that, such as infoboxes, categories, links, etc. You certainly don't need screenshots if I'm being honest, you just need to write well enough to present a clear understanding of describing a part of a game. I mean screenshots WILL be filled in later, just worry more about getting most of the article down.

There are basic writing guidelines such as show don't tell, and aim for using the least words as possible to describe things, but I suppose you'll get better as you go. I mean there's only one way to get better, and it's to take chances, make mistakes, and get messy.
I thought I'd post an update on my progress in Mario & Luigi: Brothership! I'm happy to report that I'm really enjoying the game.

I have just relit the third Great Lighthouse, and have encountered Bowser and his minions battling against Zokket's forces. After noticing the brothers, Bowser blasts them off of Shipshape Island. They have now washed ashore at an unknown island… ooh…
I know a lot of people are feeling down currently, but look on the bright side! Mario & Luigi: Brothership releases tomorrow! That's something to look forward to!

Also, I will be playing the game once I receive it tomorrow. This means I won't be active on the wiki and seldom active on here and Discord. Enjoy the game everyone!
Be on guard everyone! It won't be long until them Mario & Luigi: Brothership spoilers start rolling in on every social media imaginable!

Can you believe that today marks the second anniversary of Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, as well as the first for Super Mario Bros. Wonder? Time just flies doesn't it? Happy anniversary to these two fantastic games!

I wonder why there are so many "Would you rather" threads? They've been popping up more and more as of late.

I think it's a running meme in this community at the moment

Indeed. It's not uncommon for trends to pop up in Mindless Junk, where one thread riffs on another thread's structure to make a joke of some kind. Oftentimes, once you get two or three such mimics, it kicks off the creation of a whole heap of threads joining in the meme.

In all honesty Johnny Depp is kind of a jerk but I only posted this because it has to do with pirates. I don't at all agree with the bad things he's done with, you know, Amber Heard and all that. I just posted this because it's a banger song.
I was originally going to do this in September but I have decided to play through Mario & Luigi: Partners In Time starting at 4:00 PM EST!

This is the last game in the Mario & Luigi series I have yet to play before Brothership releases. Might as well do it while I have my Summer vacation right?
Starting tomorrow, I will be playing through the original Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, a game I have not played in several years. This means that I won't be as active as I usually am during this week. I also recently found a stylus that I can use to play the game with! Hooray!

I've recently been doing a Mario & Luigi marathon because I haven't played the games in so long. I'm hyped for Brothership!
I did it everyone! About 20 minutes ago I've 100% the Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door remake! I enjoyed it very much and I recommend the game to everyone. The only things I didn't like wrere the backtracking (which this remake did kinda fix a little bit) and getting all of the recipes due to there being no way to know in-game without searching online. It took me about 2 hours to get the remaining recipes and that was with me looking at the wiki as a guide.

It is interesting to note that "Intelligent Systems", which developed the game, also is the company that came up with the "Fire Emblem" series. Anyway great job! 👍
    ATTENTION EVERYONE:
Starting later today, my overall activity will be reduced for about a week. There are multiple reasons on why:

    1. It will be my turn in the Picture Pilgrimage collaboration and I will have to draw something awesome for it! I wonder what I'll draw though?

    2. I will be playing the Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door remake finally (better late than never)! I plan to 100% the game and I will have lots of fun while playing! This will also help me to come up with something for the next 'Shroom Issue!

I've already made the announcement on Discord and the Mario Wiki. I just thought I'd let the Mario Boards folks know too.
Things I learned from the latest Nintendo Direct:
    • It was awesome!
    • People liked spamming "L" and "Silksong" in the chat
    • It was awesome!
Thanks to everyone for helping get part 2 of my Mega Man walkthrough to tie for Strategy Wing section of the month! That was a nice surprise.
