The pipe frames is a favorite only for the throwback. It certainly doesn't actually look the best. The blue falcon looks different on MK8 so I honestly forgot they reused it. MK7 choices for repeats weren't bad of anything if I implied that. I just thought they could have came up with something...
1. I dont think SMB3 is a stage play because the only evidence of (aside from Word of God) it are aesthetics, some of which were altered in remakes such as the All-Stars version. Other details such as Mario exiting stage right are present in other games so why does SMB3 in particular have to be...
Maybe that's true, but I couldn't get over how great it looked in MKWii considering it was a light weight only kart.
I forgot to mention before, but I didn't like MK7 reusing several karts exactly from previous games.
Usually I don't like the kart designs that too closely look like real cars. I don't mind the 'character turned into a car' karts because it's meant to be silly to me. I don't like any of Mario Kart DS's carts. Maybe its the graphical limitations but I can't stand how 99% of them look. On the...
-Mr. L. He was cool in SPM but he kind of needs to stay there. Like calm down guys.
-Since someone else said it, Rosalina. She's nice enough but please.
I didn't say I hated everything about the Mario fanbase. That's why that one was "nicer" than the others. I do call myself the "Mario Elitist" (as a joke but still) so I realize some of my opinions may be slightly abrasive.
Mario Kart makes me rage but in good way because its makes me want to play again and win next time.
(This applies only to cpus though because if you're any good you'll always win more than lose. With human players that happen to be experts it's a different story. Sometimes you just gotta know...
Well since Game genie induced glitches in old games don't count, I'm always getting weird stuff to happen in Mk:Wii- particularly in battle mode. But that's pretty widely known right? I guess I'm not that good at glitch hunting.
Obviously YMMV!!! You've been warned....
-PC gamers: Too much specs not enough about the actual games. Elitism sucks also....
-Mario rpg: Listen, smrpg isn't all that. Also your rpg only characters very little if any chance of branching out, especially since Nintendo is in the habit of...
I've played or owned almost every game in the series. I love the idea of the series even if at a point it becomes cheap because it's basically impossible to play some microgames at full speed. Oddly enough I even like the gimmick games in the series (Twist, Touched, Smooth moves) and the only...
My thoughts exactly but I'd even go on to say that nsmbwii was better than the original and the peak of the series. All games after have just milked what was already there and maybe add a gimmick or two to distract you.
That raise further questions. Why are console and handheld games lumped together then?
I'm kidding.
How about this unpopular opinion: I think mkds looks fine.
Yeah I thinking he's gonna become one of the "kind of forgotten aside from a cameo or two" characters. Nintendo's strategy now seems to be to use the most popular characters or variants of them (babies, metal, ect.) This means some of the mainstays from the gamecube era are out especially since...
Mario Kart is fine, but as others said I'd like if the title didn't have a number in it. Especially if the number is slightly inaccurate. (MK7 is not the seventh)
I have a few DVDs but yeah most of it was just bad. I did find it amusing how they were always doing parodies of stuff and the covers of pop music that would sometimes play.
My least favorite of the series was the SMW themed episodes. I just hated how they had Yoshi be a child and I hated the...
^Yeah, I know- and stuff like that is funny. That's why I said I wasn't necessarily accusing anyone. Some people will really try to make those weak arguments though.
Edit: Slightly off topic, but this looks "cruel" to me...
Well, if we're going to try to go the "Mario is cruel/evil/murderous" route (not that I'm accusing anyone), you might as well say that about every videogame protagonist ever in any game that has you "defeating" enemies.
Anyway, I can't add much else that hasn't already been said, but it's clear...
I'm pretty sure some of the things you guys are saying are homages instead of coincidences. But if not...
Would Bowser jr having the same design as baby bowser count? And before you say anything, they didn't have to look alike and I don't think they would have intentionally stole an older...
I liked how he appeared alongside the Koopalings in games like nsmbwii. It cleared the misconception that some fans had about him replacing the Koopalings. (Though that is kind of what happened).
These were always some of my favorite Mario sports games along with tennis. I've played super star and super sluggers. They both have some cheap tricks though but the large rouster is fun and amusing (seriously, a goomba? Even with no arms...) I also didn't care the story mode in either so I...
If smash bros stuff isn't too off topic, I think the 3ds version is kind of mediocre but mostly because of the controls and the fact that it needs more game modes.
Mario wise, I think almost all of the recent spin off mario titles have been pretty weak.
I like varied boards although I'm not a fan of fix star location boards. The problem with those are that the person with the highest dice rolls will always win. Boards were you steal stars are also interesting since you have to not only gain stars but protect yours in a more aggressive way.
Wasn't Mario's last name being Mario supposed to be a joke? I can't remember where I read that. You won't get any official word from Nintendo since instead of explaining things Nintendo just goes "meh, whatever" now.
Unpopular or unliked? Because there's a difference. I think everyone knows about Birdo, people might not like her so much though. At least not enough to rage like they do over Waluigi.
This idea would imply that Mario games (that aren't RPGs) have great stories....but that's not the case.
Also what would the cliffhanger be? " Find out next game of Bowser kidnaps Peach on a Tuesday or a Wednesday!" Because face it, we know Mario is going to win in the end.
I'm not understanding why they just couldn't be male and female. Doesn't adding this genderless stuff just complicate things and bring up more questions? We already have Toad characters clearly established as male and female, so why change anything now?
Pointless fact: Wario Land 3 was one of the first games a %100 many years ago. That being said, I'm down with this. The only annoying thing about Wario Land games is the level design at times. Having to start all over on a puzzle because you got hit once is not fun.
Our house is light colored and faces the west so swarms of them gather on our front porch during a certain season. It's beyond annoying. Also, aren't their blood acidic or something?
Here's one I discovered long ago. (btw I can't get that imbed thing to work so I'll just post the link)

I forgot to mention this before, but I HATED when I found out that the coin item returned to Mario Kart 7 and again in 8. The speed of your kart should be a consistent thing, not determined your amount of lame pick up items.
I've always known the names of stuff but does horrid pronunciation count? I use to call bob-ombs "Bomb olms". I also called Luigi, "Lugie" and Waluigi "walugie".
Edit: I called cataquacks "quack ducks" and Birdo "Big lips". Be be fair, those two were intentional and made up by a friend and me.
Speaking of those SMW cartoons, I have a few on dvd and...Yoshi's voice is annoying. Why did they have to make him child like, this is the same guy that was in Yoshi's Island right? Or...should I not be thinking of continuity when it comes to the cartoons?
The gameboy Wario land games will forever be nostalgic for me. Wario land 3 was one of the first Games I %100 beat. It was frustrating as a child especially with a gameboy colors dim screen but I did it and felt so accomplished. I've since beaten 1,2, and 4.
The Wariowre games I like but I...
Normal. A little luck is fine because luck can go either way, helping or hurting. Complete luck games can jump off a cliff though. If a game is hard because it require skill, it's okay with me. I may never become skilled enough but at least I know I'm losing for legitimate reasons.
Of course the wii u is technically better. But personally I like the Wii more. I don't think the Wii u will have the legacy that the Wii did, especially since people forget the Wii u even exists.
Many years ago I made an account for the Nintendoland forums. I liked Yoshi and I just kind of added Mecha to it. It kind of stuck although I go as my "real" name, Amia BooMaster nowadays.
