While I did mention Daisy and Bowser Jr. on an earlier post, those two, along with Diddy Kong, should probably finish up the base game playable roster. Of course, it would feel rather funny to see Bowser Jr. wear a Bowser suit.
Tug o' War anyone? I don't think I have to mention how terrible that minigame was with the Control Stick rotation controls; you're prone to lose, even against easy CPUs. Why not change the controls to button inputs like with how Mario Party 2 handled its minigames!?
Daisy should be among the returning characters, but it would be very interesting if Bowser Jr. is playable; Bowser would treat him like everybody else.
The roster is definitely a downgrade from Super Mario Party, and it feels even more painful to see Rosalina perform animations that make no sense for someone who's supposed to be calm and reserved.
Ironically, the Thunder Cloud makes you faster. But you do have to get rid of it before it turns you tiny.
As for the POW Block, if you're on the receiving end of that item, it can really mess you up whenever you're taking a sharp turn.
Kirby's Dream Land 3
Completed the main story, but have yet to complete the MG-5 and Boss Butch modes. I did have to temporarily change my TV's color settings to grayscale, due to the gory nature of the Zero boss battle.
Kind of weird to see male pronouns for someone who's female. It's also worth noting that Magikoopas actually have bad stamina, which contradicts the Red Magikoopa's bio entry.
Nobody said that you have to get the new spirits. But if you don't get them during the spirit board event, then you'll have to wait a good number of weeks until they're available to acquire again (either at the spirit board or the shop).
Doesn't exactly help that Mario was victimized in some of the fighter reveal trailers for Ultimate; Ridley, Steve, and Sephiroth. And in the Subspace Emissary, Mario can get turned into a trophy up to 4 times (more than any other fighter in Brawl), depending on the choices that you make at the...
SMB: The Lost Levels (Super Mario All-Stars revision)
I did cheat a bit with the save states and rewind feature that the SNES - Nintendo Switch Online service had though.
I recently came across the following twitter post...
https://twitter.com/AidenRS139/status/1366568261031198726?s=20
The person stated that it's criminal that Costume Mario never returned in Super Mario Maker 2, and the majority of the responders don't seem to understand that there's a valid...
Lately I've been going back down memory lane with the SNES - Nintendo Switch Online service. This even includes playing Super Mario All-Stars, though the ability to rewind your playthroughs does feel like a cheap way to outwit the difficulty of SMB: The Lost Levels (which is not quite as hard as...
Don Flamenco has a star opportunity for if you successfully avoid his Rose Flurry combo. However, you can NOT duck against any of the Rose Flurry hooks, or else he'll follow up with an uppercut after finishing the combo.
On a side note, Don Flamenco actually has 7 star opportunities; you can...
Not even close. The drawing that I'm talking about contains graphical brutality to the Lumas; beyond borderline stuff. And just as a side note, Sephiroth is also present.
Trust me, this particular drawing's contents are very gruesome, but if you wish to be traumatized, you can find it at...
Star punching Von Kaiser while he's stunned only results in an instant knockdown, regardless of how strong the star punch is. You have to counterpunch Von Kaiser's delayed hook three times to get three stars. Afterwards, stun him with your fourth hook or jab after avoiding (or blocking) the...
Yesterday I came across a Rosalina-related drawing that, well, was a very disturbing sight. I'd rather not talk about it, because it's just too gruesome of a sight for me to comprehend.
Well, what I mean is that whenever you're playing as Mario, two of the CPUs will "always" be Metal Mario (or Peach) and Bowser, and they tend to perform better than everyone else as a result.
Now that I think about it, the rivalry system does feel very unnecessary. It gets so boring whenever you play as Mario, and yet the top 2 CPUs are always Metal Mario (Peach if Metal Mario has not been unlocked yet) and Bowser.
The one thing good that Mario Kart 7 offered was the kart customization. The character roster, however, was on the weak side, and the lack of a solo VS mode was also disappointing.
Boy, the Twitter posts are quick to assume that Impa is out of the running, but we need to keep in mind that Age of Calamity is a spin-off game. Also, there's more than one Impa incarnation to choose from, such as her Skyward Sword incarnation.
The blue fire is definitely among the things that make CTR much more hardcore than Mario Kart. CTR's items are pretty much useless for comebacks, and losing the blue fire at any point is pretty much a guaranteed loss when racing against other players.
In fact, CTR's online racing is just flat...
CTR: Nitro-Fueled is more hardcore than Mario Kart. Maybe a little too hardcore, especially if you were to look at the Time Trials game mode. If you thought that Nitros Oxide's ghosts were tough, they're nothing when compared to Emperor Velo XXVII's ghosts.
In the Mario Kart series, most staff...
Frankly, Full Armor X is only good against Shield-type spirits, so you're not going to get much use out of that spirit's Super Armor ability, outside of such battles. And even then, Full Armor X is actually weaker than X when you compare their maximum stats.
At least for the Gold Mario support...
You can't exactly depend on the same spirit team for every difficult spirit battle, since there can be extra elements where you need to use very specific support spirits for. This is especially notable for the Baby Bowser and Gruntilda spirit battles, where you have to deal with the lava floor...
Funny, you would think that the Beaver Bother minigame is the worst thing about DK64; three different Golden Bananas require you to complete it, and the mechanics just don't function properly.
Funny how a lot of people are sour about Super Mario Galaxy 2 not getting any love, and yet you can probably say the same thing for New Super Mario Bros. Wii (it is the game that brought back the Koopalings from their very long drought).
Game disc consoles don't seem to last as long as the consoles that use game cards. But it's probably worth noting that Super Mario Galaxy really isn't designed with portability in mind.
You do need to keep in mind that development has been delayed by the coronavirus pandemic. All that we can really do is wait for any announcements from Nintendo.
It does boggle the mind why Pit's Final Smash got changed to the Lightning Chariot. The Three Sacred Treasures were the main reason as to why Dark Pit was made into a separate character, but changing Three Sacred Treasures to Lightning Chariot pretty much destroys the whole purpose of separating...
