The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX
FINALLY got Magic Powder!
And the first thing I end up doing when I get the Tail Key is... go back to the Trendy Game... At which point I decided to start the trading sequence. I got the Yoshi doll, traded it for the ribbon, traded that for the dog...
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX.
In the first minute I already find something wrong with this game: It doesn't have numbers to name yourself with.
And since I don't want to use my actual name I just decided to be boring and name myself "Link" instead...
Yeah its a nice game so far...
Well I did want to get it earlier, but then I watched all of Chuggaa's let's play, so that put me off getting it...
But it's on sale now (albeit for two dollars cheaper than before, but it was only six dollars to begin with) and it's been a while since I saw the let's play so I figured why not.
Mega Man 6.
Well, after beating the Robot Master gauntlet and Wily with hardly any weapon energy for anything left, I've finally beaten this and the first six games in the Mega Man classic series.
Game ending: "At long last, the world is at peace."
Three minutes of Robot Master exposition...
Well most enemies in that game could also be beaten with a jump and/or a ground pound. The only enemy that really required punches or kicks to defeat was Eyerock... (I believe Piranha Plants could also be beaten with a ground pound)
Well apparently we actually recognize that one as being Toad. Plus the artwork actually shows him as Toad...
But there's also the blue Toad in 3D Land.
Apparently according to our logic any blue Toad is now the Blue Toad.
So why haven't we retconned the Mario Sunshine blue Toad into being Blue Toad yet?
Not to mention they're only in Hyrule Field. I could probably make two laps around the field (and probably have) before one appears...
Its even worse when one appears right near the river beside the town, and believe me its happened to me a decent amount of times...
Not that.
Big Poes.
Only really doing it for completion sake.
It takes forever for one to appear and if one gets too far away or runs into a wall it disappears.
Not to mention that they only appear while riding Epona. So the practical thing is to shoot them while on horseback. Which is hard...
So the obvious approach then?
They would all betray each other anyway. And at that point, having to deal with four main antagonists in separate battles is a bit much... To add to that point, who would the final boss be?
Sonic Colors.
Decided to breeze through the rest of the game. And out of every single stage I've only gotten one S-Rank... But of course its arguably the easiest stage in the game...
Now for ranks, Red Star Rings, Sonic Sim, and all that...
If you're referring to Metroid in general, Other M was released in 2010.
If you mean ones by Retro, it would be Prime Trilogy, which was released in 2009.
Sonic Generations.
Beat the Challenge Acts for City Escape and one for modern Seaside Hill.
Also got a couple achievements (like that matters to anyone...).
Mega Man 5.
(Finally) Beat Gyro Man, then Crystal Man. Then tried Wave Man, Stone Man, and Charge Man with not much success in using Crystal Eye against them.
Well it's still three down and five left...
Stone Man didn't seem very difficult either, but Power Stone... Power Stone... ugh...
And Charge Man... meh...
Plus I really don't care which one I beat first as long as I figure out which one is weak to that weapon as my next target.
Well it confirms that the Observatory is going to appear in some way. For all we know Rosalina won't appear and the Observatory will just be a background element somewhere.
