I think a mistake a lot of people do is use the word "representation"
These characters aren't representing anything. They are just characters that got picked because someone at the company was like "I like this, lets put in this" and don't have an encyclopedic knowledge of this utterly massive...
I only think a series overstays it's welcome if it has a story to tell, was concluded but then they kept making more sequels to it.
Stuff like COD or Angry Birds or Sonic or whatever where it's fairly episodic well I couldn't care less if they kept making more.
I think all the complaints of too many babies got Nintendo to reign them in.
Personally I'm fine with Baby Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, Wario and DK. The rest I often forget they exist.
Those aren't plot holes mate.
It's a movie with it's own story and take on the characters. It's very blatantly obvious.
The fact that Cranky is a king and not just an old codger by the beach should have made that very clear.
Not having Bowser there wouldn't have suddenly made Antasma better. Like I said years ago, dude is a bland character whose only notable gimmick was that he spoke in Vs.
Honestly they could have marketed the crap out of BIS and I don't think anyone would have cared all that much.
Anyone who played it already got it and you could still play the original game on the very system they were remaking it. The BIS remake was a desperation move caused by their end. Not...
Not much to go on it really. Looks pretty. Seems to be going for the "criminals with a heart" angle again for it's story. Instead of psychopath, rich midlife crisis douchebag and the third guy like last time.
Eh, it just looks like a weird peach in a costume. It lacks the more distinct aspects Wario has that makes him stand out from Mario.
Nothing of value was lost.
I mean I agree that designs are often used to reflect a personality.... but boos are supposed to look mostly harmless. Thats the whole point. They look harmless and shy so you think they are harmless and lower your guard, then you turn around or they suddenly go all creepy scary faced.
The...
A character design doesn't have a personality unless it was meant to indicate something about that character specifically. Which these ones don't, regardless if it's new or old. Goombas are still goombas, red shoes or not.
The art is not new, it's uncompressed but most of it is recycled and...
Considering how generic the stories and settings of the first 3 games are I can't say I'm all that upset by them going with something more literal.
Not that the settings from the later games are super original but them being literally made of arts n crafts at least makes them less common.
Plus...
Super Mario is definitely not aimed at 10 and above. It has cartoon violence that gives it that rating but the games themselves are clearly meant for ALL ages. Which is not the same as a book. If a kid can't read the book then thats it. A Mario game they could easily play and have fun with even...
