I like it. Looks like a fun family film.
Which considering the source material and video game movie's general reputation and quality....thats a lot better than it could be.
Why on earth would they take inspiration from something that is but a small niche of the franchise as a whole? I don't want to sound mean but the entire point of a movie adaptation is to see iconic things on the big screen.
And the supershow did it's wacky junk because they had only 2 games to...
They strive to be short but sweet (in theory anyway) as a capstone for a world or level, usually at the end of a level as well which justifies their shorter length as if you lose to them you often have to repeat half the level (if not the whole thing) as well.
It's based off the main Mario series, you know the one that's toads basically never had different types of appearances. (toadsworth being the ONLY exception) so I don't know why you would think otherwise.
Also while I'm at it, while I doubt there would be much world building regardless since...
Which is why even after over 30 years, Bowser does not have his own game for there isn't any real concept that he could do that Nintendo couldn't do with any of their other characters or franchises.
Do people not know that hosting an eshop costs money in of itself?
I doubt there is anywhere near enough people buying 3ds or wii u eshop games to justify the continued price of keeping it active.
I wasn't really on the "it's Rosalina" train but the evidence is looking pretty surefire for it.
I mean it's even the only eye that Rosalina ever shows off.
He's never been shown to rule over anything, that includes the ghost dimension. He calls himself a king but he's more a glorified gang leader than anything else.
So it's an extreme stretch.
He's not the king of ghosts. There is no kingdom that he rules or place that he has permanent control over. He's just a stronger than average Boo with a bunch of boos that follow him.
I mean King Boo isn't exactly THE KING OF GHOSTS nor does he have any kind of kingdom to rule. He usually just has a small gang of boos under his control.
I miss Team Rocket.
Or to be more specific I miss the concept of a villain team that is just out to make money and do crime shit, not be a bunch of meh thugs.
Of course not. People forget he's not just evil, he wants to enjoy himself and rub it in people's faces at the same time. Hard to gloat to someone whose brainwashed. :P
Course it doesn't equal quality. But you're still paying for a lot of it. They may not look the prettiest but each track still functions as it should. Thus you get what you pay for. If you wanted it to be prettier on top of that they'd have to charge more.
I'd be bothered by it were it not for the sheer amount they are releasing.
Plus just because a game sold more numbers, doesn't mean it has more money to blow on resources.
I'm not a big Lanky fan or anything but I choose him because his long armed clown gimmick would at least give them something to play with for a gameplay idea.
