"Some people"? Lmao. I see you.
Nah, it has nothing to do with any obsession with a particular character. It's the fact that it doesn't fit the presentation and style of the character. I got annoyed when Waluigi was reduced from a technical type to a defensive type but now they finally fixed it...
At least Rosalina gets to be a power type. Daisy is still regulated to the same stupid Technique type she's been for years even though time and time again she's said to be tomboyish and athletic. I don't understand why she isn't a speed type (fast moving legs from working out and built up...
The more I learn about Daisy's image in the JP media and her dialogue in JP-only games the more I like her. She's money-minded and smart. Go Daisy.
Plus, she's the only Mario girl that's had more than one romantic relationship. So amazing.
Nah, Rosalina is huge and ancient so it fits her. She's like a Pokémon who uses "Ancient Power".
Waluigi is at least finally a Tricky character. Considering he's a mischievous trickster it's perfect.
High pitch has nothing to do with age
It's about the tonal and vocal quality and just the general SOUND
Maybe the better word to describe it is "mature"
Daisy's voice sounded young and cute in 2003-2007 but then it got louder, rougher, and more older sounding. Maybe it has to do with the voice...
About Princess Daisy..
What's her role anyway?
They don't use Daisy in main games? Fine.
Second-hand lady to Peach? Already got one, Rosalina.
Luigi's Princess Peach? Luigi already had several love interests without Daisy.
Er, other female option? Yes, again Rosalina but she's actually in...
Mario as a series is pretty much based on cliché and archetypes, not that there's anything wrong with it.
Also, we have to take note Peach use to be very young (possibly a child) in her first appearance until they aged her up and most likely still kept her younger than the Bros. to fit with that...
Female protagonists are usually younger than their male counterparts and Peach looks younger than them also. I'd think there's no more than a 2-year age difference between them so it's not significant anyway.
I don't like Deanna Mustard these days, she sounds too old for the character. Daisy is supposed to be a very young girl. It'd be best if they changed voice actresses.
As far as Daisy goes I wouldn't like her to be like Lola Bunny. I want her to be the mischievous, eccentric, somewhat childish...
From our own Mario wiki
"Since Mario is stated to be 26 years old in the Japanese version of Super Smash Bros. Melee, provided it is correct, Luigi is also 26 years old."
This is only source where we have an official age put for the Mario bros. so it's best to put this in mind when discussing...
What's the difference between skill and technique? In the early installments of the Mario & Sonic series skill was one of the statistics before it got replaced by technique. Someone tells me skill and technique are two different things but they seem to function similarly.
One thing I noticed is...
Well, Lenne Hardt sounds too raspy and deep-voiced for Daisy. Daisy looks childish and acts childish, so a higher more immature sounding voice would work better for her.
That Kim Forsythe would sound good for Rosalina, yes.
:peach: 's voice is iconic and shouldn't be changed in my opinion. The best thing they could do is improve the voice direction and make her sound less air-headed. Mario, Luigi, Wario, and Peach all have voices that are easily recognizable and suit well for their character.
:daisy:'s voice isn't...
