Have there been any evil Toads? I'm kind of curious to see how that would work out.
I'd rather it just stay with the old formula of fighting a bunch of Bowsers, than introduce a new set of bosses.
But those games are not solely based around Yoshi; they were based around the babies. Unless there is a game I'm not thinking of that was particularly popular, I don't see it.
(I like the nickname, by the way)
Re: Mario and Luigi RPG 4
I beat the first game three times. There's plenty of replay value. The main replay value of RPG's is that you can make different decisions in each playthrough and side quests you may not have focused on the first time around.
Well, this poll is biased...
I'd rather have Metal Mario, because he's like a sleeker and even less personalized Mario. I don't know why I find that appealing, but I do.
Or...Metal Baby Mario?
His plans are much more complicated than that of Bowser's. Basically, Bowser's plans boil down into steal Peach and gain more power through force. Honestly, I think the most complicated plan he's had was to take the princess's castle and raise it from the ground, and that was still mainly...
I'm pretty sure we've done this before...
Anyways, as I said before, the Koopalings haven't been personalized enough (except for Bowser Jr.) for me to be able to pick one of them.
I picked Rambi for the feeling of power you get when you play as him, Squitter because of his skills and utility, and Glimmer. I don't really know why I picked Glimmer, but I like him for some reason.
He fit in Mario Power Tennis (I think that was him). I'm not saying he shouldn't be in any games or playable. I'm just not liking him as a host so much. I don't mind him being playable at all. I used him a bit in Mario Superstar Baseball.
Cranky, Lanky, Chunky, and maybe Wrinkly are notable. Baby DK and DK Jr. are essentially the same character though (and they are all DK). Swanky's only important if you consider him to be Donkey Kong's brother.
He's not really featured more prominently so much as he's announced more prominently. Sure, Super Mario Galaxy 2 and New Super Mario Bros. Wii featured Yoshi in the trailers, but when you get right down to it he's still just a powerup. Both Luigi and the Toads were actually playable in New...
You're right. I was just looking at the mainstream games. Though, how many of those games were actually successful? Success should be a factor in how underrated or overrated a character is.
That's really only one example. Luigi literally stars in three games with Mario, while Yoshi is still just a powerup in most games he's in with Mario, including Super Mario Galaxy 2.
Mainly because most people don't particularly think those Kongs are important or exciting (I'm assuming). Though, you didn't mention Cranky Kong, or any Kremlings for that matter, so the poll is missing even more characters.
I don't think he's overrated or underrated. He only has two games, and really doesn't get that much credit anyways. I don't really understand why people think he's in a lot of games, when he's really only used as an item in most of them.
Since you didn't explain what any of these do (though they're fairly obvious, you may have had more in mind than just what the name describes), I'm not gonna vote.
I've actually never finished the Pit of 100 Trials in either game. I've never really attempted in Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, but I've tried many times in Super Paper Mario. I couldn't do it, but it must have had something to do with the level I tried it on (or that I have no skill).
Re: Overrated Mario Characters
I'm not gonna talk about the other characters, but Rosalina is not just a palette swap. She obviously has skills and powers that Peach does not. With that said, she might be overrated.
