Well they did the same thing for Super Mario All-Stars on Wii, and that eventually got a full release under the Nintendo Selects line, so there is hope.
Or this might end up like Kirby's Dream Collection, a brilliant compilation of six great games that's stuck with them eBay scalpers. Let's...
Super Mario 3D All-Stars, Paper Mario: The Origami King, and Kirby's Epic Yarn are all at the top. The former especially because Sunshine is hype and I don't actually own the other two either, plus they're all portable.
I'd also like to get the 3DS Luigi's Mansion games, the 3DS/Wii U Zelda...
Oh believe me, in a few years the Wii U's remaining exclusives (e.g. Paper Mario: Color Splash, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, Xenoblade Chronicles X) will be as expensive as GameCube games. Heck, the Zelda remasters are already pricier than their GameCube counterparts despite still being...
So excited for this! I'm mainly getting it for Sunshine (I've played it before via Nintendont but now I can legally buy it without paying $70+), but I don't own 64 or Galaxy 1 either, so that'll save me $30 right there.
This'll complement my new GameCube controller perfectly.
Every Kirby game is great (well, the mainline ones at least) but to me, the latest four directed by Kumazaki really capture all the best parts of the series. Star Allies especially I absolutely adore for the insanely fun co-op and beautiful fanservice in the Dream Friends.
As for spinoffs, I...
This year happens to be Mario's 35th anniversary, and there are various rumors circulating about Mario 64, Sunshine, and Galaxy coming to Switch as a collection.
Of course they're just rumors, but it might be worth waiting until the next Nintendo Direct (likely before Sept. 16, due to a special...
That first one just looks wrong, I know other minifigures have those proportions but it doesn't work for Mario. The second one actually looks really cool though.
Anyway I voted Option 1, I don't have the set but it looks really cool and I'd love to see more Lego Nintendo sets (cough cough Kirby)
Kirby: Planet Robobot
Completed Area 4, Gigabyte Grounds. Gotta say, I really do love this game's level design, and the technological theme really helps this game feel unique. And the Robobot Armor just gets more and more fun to use.
Favorite is Dedede, least favorite is Jigglypuff. Don't care about competitive standing, they're just the ones I find most fun to use and least fun to fight, respectively.
There was an ability originally intended to be in Kirby's Adventure called Block, which allowed Kirby to place blocks (kinda like Builder Mario in SMM2). That would be cool to see in an actual Kirby game.
Kirby: Planet Robobot
I was expecting this game to pretty much be an expansion pack of sorts of Triple Deluxe. But...despite also being made in the style of Return to Dream Land, Planet Robobot manages to stick out thanks to its really-awesome Robobot Armor and just the technological level...
It's called Kirby: Revenge of Dream Land, and it basically aims to make the game much harder by making enemies stronger and faster, giving brand-new attacks to bosses, and adding additional levels and even changing the ability hats. Here's a trailer:
I believe the current plan is for the...
Kirby recently decided to inhale my Wii U so I've been playing a lot of Kirby's Return to Dream Land on there for multiplayer sessions. Star Allies' multiplayer is better designed in general but them 3-year-old Joy-Cons hold up worse than them 11-year-old Wiimotes. (I've also been following...
May I remind you that this is not an opinion but is in fact objectively true
although the fact that it was right below "puns are fun" makes me think this was intended
hi
Yeah, this is kind of a hard choice. I've come to really appreciate Sword and Hammer for their versatility, attack power, and invincibility frames. But I also really like several of the wackier abilities, like Beetle, Spider, and Missile. Oh, and Smash of course.
Kersti was definitely my longest theme change thus far (2.5 months), so I can get that. I did set my custom title to "YoshiFlutterJump" though, in an attempt to reduce confusion.
Have a ton of memories with this game. It's a blast, especially with the Hide 'n' Hunt and Spot the Sneak modes in House Party. Those were the best. (Just make sure your rumble works in those games, lol)
Reminds me, Wii Party U exists. I really need to get that.
Ah yes, been playing through this and it really is a fun and wacky little game, definitely one of the Game Boy's best and doesn't get enough recognition
Speaking of which, Kirby's Dream Land 2 is another fantastic Game Boy platformer that's also often unfairly overlooked. There's also Kirby's...
Just got Rayman Legends on Switch, as well as the Mario + Rabbids Season Pass, as part of the Ubisoft megasale. With the help of Gold Points I got the former for only $3, so definitely a sale worth looking into.
Also bought Kirby: Planet Robobot last week, still awating my copy in the mail...
Kirby's Return to Dream Land
You haven't beaten Galacta Knight in this game until you've done it as Meta Knight.
That aside, I also played some with my brother and helped him hit 100% on his Main Game file. He still refuses to start Extra Game though.
Kirby Star Allies
We decided to move...
Everyone knows my opinions on Sticker Star and Color Splash at this point so I'm putting a different example here:
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse I feel is really fun and underappreciated. It's not a traditional Kirby game but still has all the same charm and personality as one. The graphics and...
I mean, with Switch Online it's a little different. It's been around for almost two years now, has sold incredibly well in that time, and let's be honest, this is Nintendo we're talking about. When a company places paywall restrictions on you, there are only two options: either pay to have...
Oh, believe me, I'm not trying to defend Nintendo here. It's just that, as a customer, this is the only way I have to access these features, lackluster as they may be. I cannot justify Nintendo's greed at all, but the simple truth is that no matter how much I or anyone else protests against...
I remember when Switch Online launched I had only one thought on my mind: "I'd better finish my Mario Odyssey coin grinding before Balloon World becomes paid!"
...Balloon World never became paid.
And you know, even if they keep their legacy service to NES and SNES, the latter still has a long way to go before it can be considered complete. Like, only just recently was DKC1 added--where are the other two? How about Mario RPG, Earthbound, or any other RPGs oddly missing for a console...
I don't like paid online but I feel $20/year is fair for the other services offered in the subscription. Just a little disappointed that its main features aside from online (cloud saves and classic games) required the removal of other, perhaps better features from previous consoles (SD card...
I know that the original Paper Mario duology is almost universally praised among the Mario fandom, but I made the mistake of playing Super Mario RPG before both of them. I had heard not even one negative comment for SMRPG, and yet when I actually played it...it had some good parts, like the...
I mean ever since Min-Min's release it's been completely silent save for that one shadow drop update with Small Battlefield. And I don't think Smash DLC has "replaced" other announcements, it's developed by an entirely different studio that's almost exclusively dedicated to Smash.
Yes, Smash...
Ultimate ain't finished until Bandana Dee is playable. Preferably officially, but I'll settle for mods when that kind of thing becomes more accessible on Switch. (also @Shaggy Rogers it's five more spots not four)
Although, Kid Icarus always sounded pretty cool to me and I think I would...
I don't remember Cars 2 much at all, but I thought Cars 3 was pretty great. Will agree that Monsters U, Incredibles 2, and Finding Dory were pretty "eh" though.
Also Toy Story 4 is excellent, easily my favorite Toy Story, and Coco and Onward are also excellent and among Pixar's best.
I mean, in general, I feel Galaxy 2 had a much better postgame than Galaxy 1. I thought the special world's harder versions of Galaxy 1 levels were actually pretty interesting, and didn't see them as "lazy retreads". Green Stars aren't the best, but I think they get far too much hate and...
