I have both SM64 and SM64DS. I like SM64DS better, mainly because of the Heaven's Portal glitch. The superior graphics are in there to include. The 30+ stars I couldn't care less about, honestly, but I like how they added 3 new playable characters (Yoshi, Luigi, Wario)

I like gimmicks, and the option to turn on/off. I also liked the electrical barrier. Knocking Toads into the barrier with Monty Mole ftw. And I must agree, personal character music is cool. Perhaps a way to make and save your own team with personal emblem and emblem maker, similar to MKDS.
