In this thread, I will rank all cups and tracks from Mario Kart Wii.
Tracks
32nd: Wario's Gold Mine (Flower Cup, +1)
31st: SNES Mario Circuit 3 (Lightning Cup, +2)
30th: DS Yoshi Falls (Shell Cup, +3)
29th: DS Desert Hills (Leaf Cup, +4)
28th: Luigi Circuit (Mushroom Cup, +5)
27th: N64...
That would make acceleration actually matter. Also, I've severely buffed the Jetsetter, Spear, Sprinter, Sugarscoot, and Offroader to the point of being viable, if not broken even without the standstill mini-turbo. All seven stats have been increased for the first three vehicles (especially the...
That reminds me of the Frog Suit, which is considered by many to be one of the worst Mario power-ups due to it making you move very slowly on land. However, it makes you swim faster in water.
It's not just low top speed that makes people consider vehicles with high stat totals garbage. Low weight and/or drift can also make people think that way. Same goes for some vehicles with middling stat totals due to low drift. Inversely, vehicles with low stat totals are considered good because...
Similarly, a good portion of Mario Kart Wii's small vehicles have high stat totals, despite their low weight and/or speed. For example, the Quacker and Bit Bike, which have the best acceleration and best handling in the game respectively but are the lightest vehicle and slowest vehicle...
In this blog post, I will be making changes to eight vehicles: the Flame Runner, Mach Bike, Bullet Bike, Jetsetter, Sugarscoot, Spear, Sprinter, and Offroader. The first three vehicles will be nerfed, while the last five will be buffed.
Part 1: Nerfing the Flame Runner
The Flame Runner is...
And speaking of drifting, the Offroader has the worst drift stat among all karts in the game, only having a slightly better drift stat than the Phantom. This makes it clunky to control despite its high handling stat.
For the next vehicle balancing thread, I will nerf the Flame Runner, Mach Bike, and Bullet Bike and buff the Jetsetter, Sugarscoot, and Spear. Oh, and I will also make the Sprinter and Offroader viable.
I feel like with these changes, the amount of items in the game will increase to 21 from 19, and some of the stinkers will be gone, while one of them will be reworked.
Mario Kart Wii has a decent item selection, but that game introduced what I consider to be the worst items in the series, and there are a few returning stinkers. Here are some changes I would make.
Changed Item: Blue Spiny Shell
One item will have its function changed, and that's the Blue Spiny...
My ranking for the stats from least important to most important:
7th: Handling. This stat barely matters, since you will be drifting most of the time while turning.
6th: Off-Road. This stat comes in handy if you get knocked off-road, but if you use a heavy vehicle, you're less likely to get...
The Mega Mushroom, POW Block, and Thunder Cloud are also huge mistakes that almost singlehandedly ruin Mario Kart Wii, but thankfully, none of those items have returned in a future installment. Mario Kart Wii should have been the game to introduce the Fire Flower and Super Leaf, but we had to...
Low top speed alone may not make a vehicle terrible as is the case with the Wario Bike and Offroader since they both have a high weight stat, but combine it with low weight and/or low drift, and it's likely to be pretty bad. Acceleration is made useless by the existence of standstill...
Oh, I find Drift to be the third most important stat. Speed and Weight are the two most important stats, and the Bit Bike and Booster Seat fail with these two stats. They're the slowest vehicles in the game. The former is the second lightest vehicle in the game, and the latter is the second...
If you've seen my Mario Kart Wii vehicle ranking list, you'll know that I've placed the Phantom in 27th place for having the worst drift stat in the game and the Bit Bike in 36th place for being the slowest vehicle in the game. Both bikes drift outward, making them clunky to control.
Part 1...
I would put the Wild Wing, Jetsetter, Sprinter, Phantom, Honeycoupe, Tiny Titan, Blue Falcon, and Flame Flyer near the top if I were to rank the vehicles by design. However, I rank them by stats and how useful I find them to be.
The Phantom could be an honorable mention for Mario Kart Wii, since it has the worst drift in the game and drifts outward, making it hard to control. Also, as I've said in my rely, the Bit Bike and Booster Seat are not only slow as molasses, but they're also light as a feather, making them my...
What is your ranking for the thirty six Mario Kart Wii vehicles. Here is mine.
F Tier (Bad) Vehicles
First up is F tier. These are the worst vehicles in the entire game, and there are two vehicles in this tier, making it the smallest tier.
Number 36: Bit Bike (Small Outside Drift Bike)
The...
For me, the worst karts in Double Dash are the Para Wing, Goo Goo Buggy, Toadette Kart, and Bullet Blaster. The first three vehicles are the slowest vehicles in the game, and the fourth one is the lightest. For DS, the worst vehicle is the Banisher because it's the slowest vehicle in the game...
Mario Kart 64 introduced seven new items, and Super Mario Kart introduced twelve (three of which are CPU exclusive items). Those are also exceptions. But I see why I should save the Triple Gold Shell for a later Mario Kart game idea, along with a potential replacement for each of the Wii...
Oh, and none of the new item ideas are less powerful copies of existing items aside from the Mini Mushroom. I mean, the Black Shell and Gold Shell are more powerful copies of the Green Shell and Red Shell respectively. Mario Kart Wii had this problem with the Mega Mushroom and POW Block, which...
That's a good point, but you'll still lose your items unless you're in the air. Thankfully, Mario Kart Wii has a lot of instances where you'll be in the air.
What items do you think will be in the next Mario Kart game? Here are my predictions. This next game will be titled "Mario Kart: Nitro Circuit".
Returning Items
Green Shell
Triple Green Shell
Red Shell
Triple Red Shell
Spiny Shell
Super Horn
Bullet Bill
Star
Golden Mushroom
Lightning...
Things I hate in Mario Kart games:
Mario Kart 8's battle mode (Original only).
The way the drift works from Mario Kart Wii onwards.
The Mega Mushroom, POW Block, and Thunder Cloud from Mario Kart Wii.
Having Coins in Item Boxes.
The amount of filler characters (Includes Pink Gold Peach, Baby...
Here's my ranking of the items from worst to best.
G Tier (Awful)
37th: Thunder Cloud
36th: POW Block
35th: Mega Mushroom
F Tier (Bad)
34th: Coin
33rd: Blooper
32nd: Fake Item Box
E Tier (Mediocre)
31st: Spiny Shell
30th: Super Leaf
29th: Banana
28th: Green Shell
D Tier (Average)
27th: Fireball...
Here are what I consider the worst items.
10th: Green Shell.
The Green Shell isn't a bad item, but it's quite hard to aim with this thing, and you're better off using it for defensive purposes. It's more effective than the Banana, though.
9th: Banana.
Again, not bad, it's just not ideal for...
