Uhm excuse me? Nobody has idea? (surprise to see no reply across many days.
The topic is more about the correlation between the two titles, not really about having expansion as a sole point.
It's been one year since 8DX annoucned final DLC and Tour's own final update as well. I'd like to know if you guys do
All following are my personal take and you don't necessarily have to agree. Please feel free to express your own take in comments.
===============
*I feel like it's overall...
The whole story rather further proves why Peach needs a role model parent character in her life, which makes Toadsworth's burial more pointless.
I feel like if Nintendo want audience to not even think about it, they also need to adjust to the extent "Peach doesn't need Toad elders to nurse and...
Sometime ago I notice a comment say in Mario spinoffs, all the girls are on the hero side, that makes me wonder.... wait, can't a normal goomba be a girl?
Yes, in specific cases, some characters have extra gender traits so we can tell they're girls or boys. In mainline we have Koopalings who...
> under the premise they cannot be playable characters
I mean, you see that already conflicts?
It sorta means to cover prediction about her following performance. Sure hope that it deals well.
In more recent games, both Peach and Toad have become more active and shine as heroic players just like Mario bros. However, Mario RPGs are very infamous for not welcoming most of the main cast.
Sure Peach and Toad are long overdue to participate in new RPGs as playable party memebers, but...
Assume that they didn't abandon Waluigi, they created Nabbit likely because they want a special player with no power ups.
But it seems wasteful to not further make use of such a character.
You should see the contradiction here.
If there is such a special being in political circle, Peach, Toadsworth and Kamek would definitely know her existence in the prequels.
If Bowse just never had marriage record, it may both explain why nobody knows her and why Bowser doesn't go through...
It reminds me that Nabbit is in a really strange situation. He is a playable main character in Super Mario title, something Waluigi can only dream in his head, but in the realm of spinoffs, for unknown reason Nabbit becomes the one to get thrown under the bus frequently, except for the two...
Well Mario Party pretty much clarified that Nintendo wanted the direction to be Mario vs Bowser minions, which isn't a proper dedication to the actual Mario world settings. Yes we get that Bowser's minions have bigger presence in general SMB world. Still since the friendly species also play...
It's a very old topic and I assume she's just same as Yoshi and other dino species in this franchise. Not all Mario species have appliable gender system.
I think it had own merits, but my credit is despite its complicated track system, it's severely lacks the taste of fantasy from videogame's racing courses.
On the other hand there are characters. It's nice for LEGO to pick babies as starters to prove difference from K'NEX.
Yeah all I can say is this is another slap on K'NEX face, but still, wonder if we'll seem them develop more buildable racing courses or kids need to play it like Home Circuit, well, or buy LEGO City plates.

Didn't know this thread exist, so I think this topic has...
I mean even tho minions play a big part in Mario world, obviously Nintendo sticks to very specific ones for spin-off rosters despite we keep getting new ones from recent mainline games.
Not to mention the main villains. This is very much a general issue how recent mainline poorly affects the...
I'd say I'm still sad about it, one being that there are still some sport subjects that cannot be seen in other Mario sport games, the other is thanks to the awful roster we still cannot have playable Toad and Cream in any Olympics so I don't want it to be cancelled.
Yeah that can be a thing...
It comes to my mind that, altho quite many one-off characters in series history were outstanding heroes or partners, some specific part of them are the helpers of the regular Mario heroes aka typical fairy mascot in fantasy-themed videogames.
But this results in the odd situation: this...
Well we didn't get many unlockables or DLCs in previous Party game so I'd say don't put too much hope.
Sure if they'd add more, Pauline would likely be the obvious one according to the pattern. Would be very surprising if they do add a different big name for this time.
Not my MW but too...
Since this game is basically an enhanced version of past Party games, high chance will be it's the same roster with Super Mario Party but with Birdo the returnee, and some newcomers hopefully.
Curious, can Dry Bowser and Koopalings take the respective roles?
While in active sense, she should be playable, in the passive aspect my concern is like whether we get some really giant newcomers as replacement. (returnees not counted) for people to think this isn't too bad. Interestingly, we can't have Kamek, King Boo and King Bob-omb in the Party roster, so...
At this point? Don't think so. If the Club characters do return, I think they'd be base game unlockables as their major task is to paticipate in the Story mode, and so far no reveals mention that. Unless Nintendo suddenly feel that the lack of Club characters is a mistake, I don't think they'd...
Thanx for info. But looks like it's counted an enemy species, which Nintendo don't mind reusing in RPGs.
Uhm... really?
Pauline's formal return was Mini March from late 2006... then her official first Mario allstars sport game debut was 2018. It's hard to say she owns any advantage. She had...
Well, Paper Mario was acknowledged in Paper Jam, and in M&L stories they also met the babies. If that canon is acknowledged then I think it wouldn't be a problem. Of course we may discuss technical matters like how to implement a 2D character in 3D games.
Like said, protagonist alterego is part...
Is that a reference? Canonically we have Silver Luigi from NSMB2. I also noted that in another edit above.
But Pink Gold Peach seems to have a higher possibility, I don't think we'd easily see Silver Luigi in a medium size roster
I feel like both would come true in Mario Kart Tour.
I think...
Yeah I see no official portrait of her casual look so it has to be photoshopped. Her sunglasses suits the outdoor activity better.
Now here is the problem: fans and Nintendo have major cognitive difference regarding to fanservice.
Sonic was just a big hot giant mess when it comes to media adaption. While its main video game works in line, all different adaptions basically just conflict with each other. I agree that the Archie comic needed a reboot that sticks to the main video game canon, just I disagree with the removal...
Sure but:
I'm always not so sure about the "DK can have a buddy but Wario doesn't need to" mindset.
Or should say in the whole Switch era we haven't seen too many really giant newcomer for Mario spinoffs. Most noteworthy cases like EGadd, Wario main cast and KRool are still commonly absent...
if babies are hated because of alterego identities, characters with baby/toddler shape like Ashley, Sprixie and Nabbit should have better priority. Just in this case its more a matter of choices.
Didn't expect, but duh, no Gene.
Depends. I feel like DLCs better use surprising welcomed newcomers, like Hellen and Willow, over obviously absent main cast.
In the case of Smash bros it isn't obliged to introduce more of 3rd party series, as far as I know. And people who bought Smash 5 were already aware of Final Fantasy since it's not unpresented like Octopath.
On the other hand not having other contents is just the companies' issues. If they...
Fine as individual isn't a garuntee for fit, I think.
Like I love ice cream but I don't pick it for dinner.
I think the arguable part is denying other Square contents are iconic enough for their own history. And to FF fans in general they'd want something else to be presented to show different...
Platformers tho.
The thing is RPGs can provide a proper story scenario to explain the partnership. As for platformers, it'd be two different troops on the same screen (imagine fighting a kremling and a paratroopa at one time) If Nintendo want to go with simple gameplay, they might not really...
Well Birdo stays, the core concept of multiple playable characters also came from there. If NIntendo is willing to use it as referenes, I do think they can do more.
I think if Bowser isn't going to team up with other currently active villains like Wario, KRool, King Boo and King Bob-omb, the...
Interesting... fans used to complain that Nintendo don't listen to fan demand, now they actually do alot in Ultimate, fans rather think this game isn't official enough.
I'd say canon isn't the biggest matter, it'd be more direct to think "who this is".
(yes, we got Nabbit who came out from random, but arguably DKJr wasn't made to be in that kind of role)
Before official announcement. it was based on the official name of the counterpart in DMW. I'm netural...
To simplify, yeah, that saying works.
The best would be like how M&L explained babies and Paper Mario. Strangely that series even did some important things other "main titles" never managed to do.
I agre with 8-bit given, Paper Mario for Kart isn't out of blue.
Like said, canonical factors are legit enough for him to be unable to return. I don't think fans have been complaining like "NIntendo should had made him return, they don't have proper excuse!!" when other one-off key characters like Wart and Wizpig don't have such issue.
In the case of...
My personal dream would be:
Adding 3D Land stages to 3D World as a whole.
Make two Galaxy titles in its own one with new stages, not being a collection along with other games, unless the capacity is enough.
Make 64 DS be an alternative mode along with the original version, expand more...
Yeah, it could be kinda misleading to mention Peachette, but I wanted to highlgiht "brand new characters".
And still, if Nintendo cannot make Mario games acknowledge everything happened under its franchise but different teams must conflict with each other, I think that's not just dissapointing...
Yeah, that's the likely outcome, also the least welcomed one.
It's sad if Nintendo managed to push something "if you didn't get WiiU don't miss those games on it" rather than "even WiiU owners would want these".
Yeah, I also feel confused its not a 64 DS port, so it's unpleasant to not see the merits from that version for now.
I didn't expect any new expansion, but 64 DS was the best opportunity for Waluigi.
In a different view, NSMBUDX and also Tropical Freeze pretty much spoiled fans in a way they'd raise the bar for future ports. I feel like if they couldn't expand every part it could be a let down.
(I do admit my signature pic is a really high bar, tho.
The focus on Bowser feels like a hint on...
