Most significant change is people accepting the bottom half of the old S tier are actually sort of doo-doo and not S tier, and Amsa proving Yoshi is pretty good.
Eddy and Abate have been upsetting the second highest echelon of players, yet Luigi still can't get ranked past the now-unrepresented...
The rules of which you follow to play/compete? This should be obvious.
I'm not suggesting Project M wouldn't be it's own game if it wasn't popular, I'm saying the rework it does to the core game is significant to call it it's own game, even if it runs off of Brawl. It has merit to be compared...
Games are defined by their set of rules, not their platform. You cannot reasonably say custom NSMB levels or Brawl stages are as merited as Project M's entire rework of how the game is played. Furthermore, Project M has an absolutely massive following for a mod and a much larger competitive...
Pretty much entirely a multiplayer guy so I'll only list those to avoid saying Portal, Bastion, Skyrim, the entire Half-Life 2 series, etc are 'bad' cause they're all pretty good but too hard to compare
Dota 2
Rivals of Aether
Rocket League
Terraria
Team Fortress 2
Garry's Mod
Left 4 Dead 2...
Brawl lets you put Baby Luigi into the game, too, in that case
Project M has a standard set and is identified as its own game because of how popular its standard set is, you know
anybody who edits videos with airhorns and shit are trying to be obnoxious, are you serious
Smash players who get excited and loud during close matches make parties and tournaments hype, don't hate
Funny you to mention, according to this, every single character's roll and spotdodge invincibility got nerfed by 1 frame. Not that much, but still something.
Agree on this, unless we find out the shine buff has enabled shine canceling and waveshining.
I think her design is a bit flawed. She cannot approach very well because she's kind of slow, especially in the air, but her moves lack disjoint to space (for Christ's sakes, she has Falcon's rushdown dash attack but it's even weaker) and her projectiles put her into too much lag or telegraphing...
Nevermind what I said about coherent buffs, Luigi's changes actually made him even better (Lower forward air damage = less knockback, more aerial move combos). That's just silly.
Yeah, these are weird terms most Smash players wouldn't know unless you're into frame data.
It seems the intent of the change was to make Duck Hunt's big jab hit before the duck starts pecking easier to land and increase the damage slightly, while changes to KBG and BKB don't mean basically...
For a game 'not balanced for competitive play', barring the early questionable things such as Greninja or Little Mac nerfs, I feel like all the character changes have been quite coherent, especially things like Ike getting some good combos added to his kit and Falcon regaining a combo extending...
Small nitpick, but it's a meteor smash in Project M, not a spike. It can be cancelled.
I'm not much of a fan of the repeated poke playstyle Sonic encourages, but to each his own. I enjoy his Falcon-esque playstyle in Project M of punish into hard combo, but then again, Falcon is kinda...
Time to see if the Good Doctor still has Leffen's number or if Leffen actually is the #1.
I actually think Mango is going to use Marth against Leffen if they face off in EVO. He completely exposed him in that money match, but got destroyed on Falco. So, so interesting to see what will be done.
I mean, Godzillas a different type of game. From what I can tell from that gameplay footage, Smash already has a much huger emphasis on movement and stage control. I don't think it'd be necessarily broken, but it would be very... awkward? Being giant on a stage like Battlefield or Lylat doesn't...
I mean, it's what makes Mojang tubs of money and it is extremely hard to get as lucky as Minecraft has all over again. Even if it's just them milking it as long as they can, this doesn't look as unrelentingly terrible as it very easily could be.
PP plans on coming to MORE events, actually. He has announced before he thinks he is finally overcoming his depression and wants to gain the energy to go to more events in the near future.
On the topic of the future, Wizzrobe looks extremely promising. Only 17 and already is considered one of...
Uh, yes he does. If you just try to sweetspot everything in the neutral game, you're just going to get shielded then grabbed. You're lucky he's fast enough and has a good grab game to make him not nearly as bad as he was in Melee.
Boy this got dark
Also, say what you want about choice, an abortion can be traumatic and has after-effects. If you find your son does drugs through a bag and not through him completely fucking up his life yet, there's probably still time to fix it. There's a lot of value in redemption from bad...
It was the "last straw" broken between mainstream sub moderators and the actual Reddit administration, as the latter was doing a very poor job at communicating, being transparent, and working with the former. Victoria was vital to ensuring quality AMAs and verification and setting up and all...
Tiers matter when you want to optimize play and compete. If you and your opponents can't space, combo well, DI out of strings, tech-chase, etc., then it really doesn't matter.
Not really, you flick it so fast the game still thinks you're standing. Dash dance, you use it to bait your enemy into whiffing or to establish a 'zone' that enemies don't want to risk encroaching on, sou want to maximize the space you can control by knowing your full animation before you have...
No. Dash dancing is a spacing technique and a mixup option, pivot grabbing essentially gives your grab more range if you do the timing right, and is safer if your character's standing grab is faster than their dash grab.
Dash dancing isn't in 4 (foxtrot dancing is), but pivot grabs obviously...
It's for the better (picture is slightly gross)
Also EE made for a really entertaining caster for lower games, I think his lack of knowledge in Melee shows with higher level games, but he is very good at providing humor or filling time between rounds
Probably right so you can still use the control stick. He was using the control stick to jump back on and off the edge, which might be the only benefit from keeping Tap Jump on
It's more amusing watch people try to chug between stocks or stall somehow. Most impressive was one-handed edgestalling. Best when they spill in a panic.
