Bowser wasn't "possessed" in Partners in Time, you know.
The Shroob Princess powered him up and all, but he was still fully in control of his actions, unlike Bowletta.
And again, he was the main villain of Paper Mario.
Even if he's not usually the main villain of the RPGs, he's almost always been the main villain of the platformers, the genre Mario was founded on. I don't think we have to worry about Bowser losing his thunder any time soon.
Uh, guys?
In the past year alone, Bowser's been the main villain of THREE platformers- New Super Mario Bros., Super Princess Peach, and Yoshi's Island DS. I don't think he's being "pushed aside" at all.
Bah, for people like me who grew up in that time, they were a magical work of art. In retrospect, sure, they're way off the games, but I still love 'em just because they're Mario cartoons. I'd love to see a new one, in fact. The Super Mario Bros. Super Show is my favorite show. Ever.
But on...
I like Peach just fine, she's a great part of the series. Her personality isn't consistant though- It fluctuates from ditzy to highly competant depending on the game.
To answer an above question, both Missing and Time Machine were English-only games made by an educational third party. They probably based their information on the Mario Bros.' backstory from the cartoons, not the rest of the game series.
I would say they aren't- They're a division OF the Koopa Troop, not a seperate organization that just happens to be affiliated with them, but a part of the group itself. It's as much a part of the Koopa Troop as the Koopa Bros., for instance, another small group that's a part of the larger main...
Actually, in Mario's Time Machine, Mario introduces himself as being "from Brooklyn" when talking to someone, although the game's canonity can be disputed.
Most fans consider it to be an alternate dimension, rather than just another planet out in space, because of the now-retconned backstory of the Mario Bros. warping there from Brooklyn.
However, since the games now point to them being born in this world, Earth likely has no place in the...
Also, would Bowser even want to fight Peach? He has a pretty big crush on her- Battling her doesn't really fit his character, except in Super Princess Peach, but there his emotions weren't very stable due to all the Vibe Wand shenanigans.
But based on that game, Peach stands a decent chance...
I wouldn't say Mario is "thrown in" here, even if Sega Sports is making it. This is something that Nintendo and Sega were talking about for a long time. If Mario is thrown in, so is Sonic, because neither have a "better" role than the other.
Not a fan of recent Sonic games, this still excites me to no end.
I grew up in the 90s, during the famous war between Mario and Sonic, and this is what I waited my entire childhood to see.
I can't wait.
I edit a lot, but I read a lot too. I contribute, but also take in and appreciate the contributions. The wiki exists for the sole purpose of reading and gaining knowledge, and I've learned a lot from it.
It's really a different kind of game altogether. Unlike platforming, this is an action puzzle where you direct the Mini Marios with the stylus, and you never directly play as Mario himself. If you ever played Mario and Wario, it's like a more advanced version.
Yeah, Mario's had its fair share of villains- Comical villains, robots, aliens, ancient demons, but we've yet to have a gentleman count type character. It looks very interesting.
Re: you're 50% right
No, no. In WarioWare, each character's games are developed by that person. So yes, even Wario develops the "Wario" games in Warioware.
Wario's often mocked for being a pretty dumb guy, both in the games and otherwise. But throughout the series, subtle hints are being dropped that he may be smarter than he's letting on.
Part 1 - Child Prodigy
Even as an infant, Wario understood how magnets worked, and used a magnet to his...
Mario has a personality. He talks less, but still does. His personality is especially pronounced in the RPGs, as being very brave, honorable, etc.
So Mario, because I've always been a fan. Though I like Luigi a lot too.
I watched the one with the allusion to Donkey Kong, out of obsessive habit of seeing anything with a Mario reference.
The show itself is... decent, if you can get past every student being a cliche or stereotype(The nerd, the rich snob, the tomboyish girl, the ditzy southerner, etc.), and...
One of the few good shows Nick had, and it got cancelled. I miss it a lot, and while I know it's on the Nicktoons channel, I can't see it because I just have cable, not satellite.
Such a shame.
Meowth, though it's because of the anime. Team Rocket was the only reason I kept watching that show.
I also like Koffing. No matter what, Koffing always has this happy careless expression on his face, happily puffing away, "Koff koff koff!" It's a shame Weezing looks like some decrepit old...
Bowser's my favorite villain solely because he's so full of himself. He's a villain that can manage to be threatening and funny at the same time, and I love that.
Count Connoli from Wario: Master of Disguise is becoming another favorite of mine quickly, though.
I just got it today and I'm loving it.
I'm in level 4 now. The stages are much larger and more in depth than previous Wario areas, and the story's a lot more involved in this game as well. The plot starts simple, and steadily develops throughout the game. This may very well be my favorite...
Agreed, it makes the articles look better too. I won't go on a hunt for leaning adjectives, neccesarrily, but I'll fix any I come across. I think if we all do that, we'll solve the problem quickly.
Not sure about the worst ever...
But the worst recent game definetely goes to Shadow the Hedgehog, which in my opinion was the final thing to kill the Sonic series.
Yes, the Mario OVAs. Three 15-minute episodes, based on legends and fairy tales.

I don't know of anywhere to download it yet.
There's also a Chinese educational cartoon: Mario Kirby Masterpiece, which...
