Generally Mario and SSB series are family-oriented, I don't see problems if Nintendo want to make family money and allow parents to play with children and friends. But maybe the sole play could be more interesting, if you meant that.

Well, that's called popularity, not representiveness. And in SSB there are only representives of a whole series, not of a single game, and it sounds like mentioning an exclusive character instead of a recurring character.

That's a popular opinion IMO. Old bosses return or new enemy are both nice. Wario is now more like a simple rival of competitions than a real boss.

Depends on what you mean, because "unexpected" can't mean "random". In the result of SM3DW, it's still not clear why Rosalina appears while other recrurring characters still don't. In DK's case, though Cranky has always been DK's mentor, we don't know if the kongs would reappear as the old days...
