My userfics were the most grimdark shit on the site for a while.

My music teacher was in New York on 9/11. She told us about it. The temperature was perfect; the sky was bright blue; everything seemed right with the world until 8:46 in the morning.

The Hybrid Theory-era songs were a lot catchier but the Thousand Suns-era songs were a lot more interesting (like the ones that used vocoder). The lyrics were kinda cringeworthy throughout their entire career, though.

It was my required reading last year. Amazing book, one of the best I've ever read. Made me think of religion in a completely different way. when we grew up and went to school there were certain teachers who would hurt the children any way they could by pouring their derision upon everything...
