I'd imagine Birdos, as a species, probably had some individuals as gender fluid or some could even be non-binary too. So they/them or whatever their pronouns of choice are (varies by individual).
Tick Tock Clock/Rainbow Ride from Super Mario 64, though on my most recent playthrough Rainbow Ride gave me less problems than Tick Tock Clock. I'll also some of Mario Galaxy has some difficult levels too. I can go back further to the old NES and SNES days. Pipe World always gave me trouble in...
Lumas are pretty darn adorable if you ask me, followed by the kittens from 3D World/Bowser's Fury. I will also mention that now Prince Florian is adorbs too, Yoshis are cute too.
I have 100%'d the game twice, once when I was in my pre-teens, the second recently now that I'm in my mid/late 30s. Each time I find that Rainbow Ride is the sheer antithesis and bane of my own existence. Especially when it comes to 100 coins and wall jumping up to get the blue coins to get the...
My girlfriend got it for me for my birthday and I have really and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's one of my top favorite Mario games now for sure. Plus the music is awesome! I loved the singing Piranha Plants and the Bowser Rage Stage music.
I think the 2D/3D approach from Super Mario 3D World is best, but I also like the fact of how something like Super Mario U looked too. The problem with the 3D Mario games is that I often feel like the camera controls don't always behave responsively or allow you to see everything. I know Mario...
If your brother is into action figure collecting there are a number of Super Mario figures produced by Jakks Pacific you can get them if they enjoy that. I personally collect the action figures myself as I've always been a bit of a toy collector. They're really nicely done too. I started...
Nice! I really love that one. The fire-breathing feature is pretty awesome how Jakks Pacific did it. He's definitely become one of my favorite figures too.
Looks like Jakks Pacific is giving us a second wave of figures from the movie series composed of Kamek, Peach (Mario Kart/Biker outfit), Cat Mario, and Tanooki Mario,
https://thetoyinsider.com/jakks-pacific-super-mario-movie-toys-news/
I already picked up Peach and Kamek this last weekend as I...
I did miss out on playing the original SNES version of this, save for when I rented it at the video store as a kid and only played it a little bit at a time. I'm hoping this is just a graphical/engine update and it still plays like the original SNES game otherwise. Overall, I am hyped enough and...
I don't know if you all would consider this to be spoiler-ish, but I'm gonna try to be as vague as possible here regarding my thoughts on the film. So this is a sort of warning leading into my thoughts.
I finally got to see it on Saturday (yesterday) with my girlfriend and a good friend - all...
As much as I love 3-hour movies with heavy exposition and decent pacing to accompany them, my bladder does not love them back. 2 hours is a bit more reasonable for me in regards to a cooperative bladder. 90-some-minute movies are at least a cakewalk for me. XD
I plan to see this on Saturday with my girlfriend and one of my good friends who is also a longtime Mario series fan. We all love the series and have been looking forward to it while simultaneously being hesitant initially. Some of the negative reviews I've seen bum me out because they seem...
Supposedly in 2025. I think a more specific date will be when they will have a bit more formal announcement with construction started on Epic Universe.
Here's some stuff I found about Super Nintendo World Hollywood opening today (2/17) along with a couple of other things like merch, food, and information about Bowser's Challenge. It did have a soft open this week mind you.
Here are some articles about it...
Hmm....Fire Flower has always been a mainstay favorite, but I always loved the Racoon leaf or Tanooki suit. The White Tanooki suit from 3D World is definitely awesome and became a new favorite of mine considering you're invulnerable for the most part.
Hearing that rap again inspired all sorts of nostalgic feelings and levels of amusement. Also playing around on the site there's a Bowser wallpaper/poster you can find if you click on the manhole cover. I'm really looking forward to this movie more so than I was before.
Definitely, yeah. Nice tie-into Super Mario Land as well. So it definitely could be like Tatanga, Wario, and Wart who kidnapped Bowser Jr as the game's plot. A good measure I think for various worlds to go through as Bowser would be to throw the Koopalings into needing to be rescued as well too.
Pratt's voice as Mario is not terrible as predicted. I know I would I would definitely prefer Martinet to be the voice, but Chris Pratt is their headliner so it is a concession I have to make here, unfortunately.
After watching both trailers I am starting to become more emotionally invested in watching this on the release date when it comes out. There are some things I don't quite exactly like about it (Chris Pratt voicing Mario), but I am enjoying what I have seen otherwise so far as it looks a lot of...
A Bowser-based game that is a platformer either 2D or 3D? This is *chef's kiss* perfection to me. I wouldn't mind this and honestly enjoyed the bit in Mario Odyssey where I could play as Bowser. I think it is long overdue too. As for the game plot, I bet it could be battling a rival like Wart or...
Bowser's villain song? Should be close to the Mario 3 World 8 theme or on point with it. XD
Also, yes Martinet should remain the voice of Mario in this series. It makes sense for practical reasons, but either way, I'm looking forward to trying this film out when it is released and I hope that...
Just picked up Super Mario Odyssey, and I'm really enjoying it of course. The gameplay feels easier, but I don't mind because I like playing games for the story and experience anyways.
I would say originally, Tubular, from Super Mario World. Though I give points to Rainbow Ride in Super Mario 64 being the bane of my existence as well because of how long it took me when I was 12 to get the 100-coins and subsequently my last star for the full 120 at the time. Playing 64 again...
Camera angles in the 3D games or specifically Mario 64, but I did find the Mario Galaxy camera angles a bit disorienting the first time I played that. Mario 64 though still has really some of the worse camera angles (for me). Platforming with the camera wonky is...no Bueno.
It really depends on the policies put in place by the hotel. Most? No. Not typically, but those that do have a sign saying "pets welcome" while others might have more stringent policies like as long as the animal is in a crate. You could always call the hotel you're looking into and ask though...
I really hope it doesn't try to go the route of the "gritty modernized" way like a certain one tried in the early 90s, but I also hope it isn't campy either because I noticed a tendency for "light and happy" films to get thrown into cringe-worthy campiness. If Illumination is doing it then it...
Yeah! I saw that. I was just hoping if there was some kind of idea of what was coming towards the end of this month or so. Guess I'll just have to wait like everybody else. Heh.
I've run a Jurassic Park/Jurassic World encyclopedia project (like a wiki) since I was 15 or so (36 now). Recently just moved it onto its own host instead of being attached to a fan site: Jurassic-Pedia. I use a different CMS than MediaWiki because there's a big issue with vandalism in that...
I am sitting in Option 6 because the Switch does have a lot of untapped potential in bringing nostalgia (old games from Nintendo's entire library from NES, SNES, GBA, N64. and even Wii) as well a new titles to it still.
DPFAR: Figured since it has been over 3 days I'd post an update of new figures I've picked up. I've done a further plunge down the warp pipe it seems. XD
I scooped up the 4 inch Fire Mario, Ice Mario, and Raccoon Mario and they're in the "? Block" box behind Yoshi, Peach, Luigi, Mario, and...
What about the Koopalings? Larry Koopa, Morton Koopa Jr, Wendy O. Koopa, Iggy Koopa, Roy Koopa, Lemmy Koopa, and Ludwig von Koopa may have spotty attendance in the series, but I consider them staple characters for sure.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons (Switch) picked it up and have been playing it so that a friend and I can play together. Very relaxing, plus I got a Koopa shell and a Mario costume.
I remember one I used to always know as a kid was the "Luigi Code" was that in Mario 64 there was a code to play as Luigi and it could only be entered in on the startup screen. Kinda reminded me of how the old Mortal Kombat codes could only be entered in on the title screen as well. I know it...
Picked up a couple more Mario Figures in the last couple of days, all of the figures are in the "4-inch" scale from Jakks Pacific. I picked up Green Toad, Red Toad, Green Yoshi, and Metal Mario, Red Toad and Green Yoshi are both from an eBay auction. I also am getting a Bowser plushie (the one...
I wish we could get access to more game systems like N64, Game Cube, GBA, Game Boy (Color), 3DS, etc. I also wouldn't mind the original Rampage game even or ports for like Rampage World Tour or whatever from the N64. The Switch is more than capable of handling it so why not use it? I hope...
I would say we are applying real-world logic to an adorable fictional dinosaur that can talk and allows a plumber to ride on his back, so some liberties can and are definitely taken here. Heh.
Definitely yeah, most animals simply lean more towards a particular diet and will supplement from various sources! An interesting fact I learned is that the Bearded Vulture eats bones specifically. But the proteins, which those foods are rich in, are actually most helpful for the animal's...
Oh yeah, the Figuarts ones are impressive and I would love to get the Bowser one from that, but the after-market value on eBay is very pricey I've noticed!
And I recall the Banpresto ones, they are quite nice too!
