I can appreciate lore and I do love connecting settings and whatnot together, but I really like expanding on characters.
Of course, Wart's issue is a combination of mostly being a Bowser stand-in and generally lack of interest in using him; the platformers never get complicated enough to really...
I've been watching footage (I've seen pretty much 90% at this point), but I haven't heard that track. The icon give me pause as to whether or not it's actually in the game. I'll need to check the soundtrack rip to see if its there.
UPDATE: Okay I checked, and yeah it's in the soundtrack rip...
Yeah, it's mostly remasters it seems.
Which is actually pretty disappointing since the new tracks sound so much better.
They even gave Fawful and the Dark Star new tracks and it's kinda jarring just how much more effort went into those + the Bowser Jr.'s Journey ones
The Cat Mario Show touched upon the remake a bit (6:55):
You can see some previously unseen areas for the Bros like Bowser's memory banks, as well as a quick look at the new title screen. None of the footage of Bowser nor Bowser Jr. is new though (unless you missed Madame Broque in BJR in the...
That joke was so dull, it has me seeing red.
Hey man, you can knock Crafted Yoshi all you want, but don't diss Spiky-Eared Pichu.
They probably should of just combined the notch-ear with the Pikachu-Colored event Pichu. that way both event Pichu could be acknowledge and the alt would stand out...
I didn't have high hopes to begin with, considering they didn't even add a Battle Ring to the SSS remake.
The only real thing I can see them adding is a Bowser Battle Ring or maybe a further superboss after Bowser X, and neither of those are likely. Like with SSSDX, it seems like most of the new...
Found a Japanese page covering the game as well. Has some screenshots and info (if you can read Japanese or have a halfway decent translator). They also changed the title screen, which I have mixed feelings about (On one hand, I liked the duality of Peach and Bowser's Castles. On the other, it...
To be slightly fair, the Junior artwork was also taken Paper Jam, so it's not new either.
Still, if Mario, Luigi and Bowser can get new artwork, Fawful should too (though if SSSDX is any indication, it'd just look similar to the one he already has).
To be fair, he was looking kinda lifeless right before the final battle.
Though now that I think about it, Bowser surviving having his flesh burned off might be even worse.
Gonna bump this with my idea I guess.
I feel like an Actraiser-esque game could work, maybe with some Misadventures of Tron Bonne worked in (though you start getting into Wario territory a bit there).
For reference: Actraiser is a game that alternates between side-scroller platforming/beat-em up...
You know, people always talk about how Bowser's always dying, but it still amazes me that Bowservactually did die just off-screen in one game.
What makes it even more impressive is that it happened in a New Super Mario Bros game and gave said game the slightest inkling of an interesting plot.
Considering Brainwashing was a factor in the Koopa Troop turning against Bowser himself (along with Morton having an aura) I feel that's likely.
At the same time, a plot point of the story is that the Koopalings get fed up with Junior's arrogance and attitude towards them so it's not entirely...
Pokefloats kinda reminds me of those random Melee events where you fought on top of a trophy and if you won you got the trophy.
I want that back, is what I'm trying to say.
I know he has at least two screenshots (not big ones, but both from the front), one of them being him during the Fawful Theater segment (I think. It's been a while since I played BIS). Midbus also had a few screenshots (one from right when he's about to fight Bowser and one from the Bowser's...
I'm back. Having used the site and trying to parse stuff with an online translator, here's some stuff about the sub-mode (if anybody knows Japanese, correct me if I'm wrong):
You can place up to nine or so units. Placement is important as certain formations carry bonuses
The "type triangle" is...
Japanese site's up, along with a clean version of the artwork posted last thread.

I made a few custom builds with equipment and special moves. I certainly remember Bowser being more fun to use in general with them, especially that one side-b dash.
Between Goomboss and the Star Spirits, yeah.
I believe the original games took place in the normal world (or one with slight differences like Kammy instead of Kamek) while the newer games take place in a parallel world that's basically the same but paper.
Because older games need representation too.
It'll be fun to think up Spirit pairs to use or send on expeditions.
Sometimes, you need to come up with your own interactions when you have the chance to do so.
Copyrights for characters can be kinda weird. Nintendo probably either didn't realize or didn't think they would need the copyright for Geno and other SMRPG characters.
If you want to see how this sort of thing can go horribly wrong, see the entire debacle with Archie Sonic.
I may be wrong, but I think Bowser's second form in Puzzle & Dragons (which was a while ago admittedly) was called "Demon King Bowser" or something.
He might also be reusing his boxing ring title from 3DS/Wii U in Smash Ultimate and that called him"Great Demon King of the Turtle Tribe"

Looks like some new artwork coming in soon, based on Corocoro.
Also Lemmy confirmed, for the one or two who had a shadow of a doubt.
Somebody with one of those CPS2 Soundfont whozewhatzits should remix that first track. It's kickin'.
For that matter, Mario Pinball Land's soundtrack is pretty underrated. Granted, few remember that game exists, but still...
Evidently, it didn't work considering people still compare the Broodals to the Koopalings.
Then again, Nintendo generally has been really weird with how they handle characters lately, so I dunno if they wanted a villain group with more presence than the Koopalings usually have or what.
I can't speak for the english versions, but supposedly, the singer of Japanese verison of Lifelight is the same one from the Japanese Kirby anime intro.
He was ascended to be Dedede's number 2. Supposedly, according to a NintendoDREAm interview, he was picked because HAL wanted to make Waddle Dees more prominent in the series.
