I'm just gonna say that I feel like Starlow play off of Bowser far better than she does with the Bros. I've said it before but Starlow (and I suppose one could assume Kersti) does better when contrasted with characters that can take what they dish out. For Kersti, her arguing with Bowser is...
The design of Bowser's throne in Mario Party 10's Chaos Castle is actually the same design from Bowser's Mario Party Island Tour artwork.
Additionally, it seems to have been the basis for the throne from Black Bowser's Castle in Paper Mario Color Splash.
I dunno how unpopular this next suggestion is, but Mario Kart Super Circuit has a pretty underrated soundtrack and I am disappointed that Lakeside Park didn't get the MK8 treatment.
Imagine a Big Band version of this:
That's a bit misleading. Sakurai left in 2003. The last Kirby game he worked on was Kirby Air Ride.
Bandana Waddle Dee's design existed for Megaton Punch in Kirby Super Star, but he wasn't an actual character until Super Star Ultra's Revenge of the King Mode in 2008, 5 years later.
Bandana...
After Meowser?
It's not terribly surprising either considering that Bowser/someone close to him occasionally has an evil version of Mario's gimmick for whatever game.
This whole "Powser/Bowsette/Koopa-Hime" business is probably the funniest thing I've seen the internet do in a while.
Then I learned that the Super Mario Odyssey artbook revealed a scrapped plot element that made it even funnier.

For me, the whole character-restriction thing is kinda half and half. On one hand, The RPGs are the best way to showcase the cast's personalities and it was generally successful with The Koopalings and Junior.
On the other hand, I don't really like the Paper Mario characterizations for most of...
Well, King Boo is the Master of Illusion according to Dark Moon.
Given that the game has been trying to make it look like Bowz was the true villain, it was pretty much a fake-out.
Considering the reputation the series has gotten, I can understand why they just ported NSMBU.
I think they said they were done with NSMB anyway and want to make a more original 2D game.
In fairness, they seem to be creating some new assets like the two new characters and redoing Bowser Jr. (and the Koopalings?) overworld sprites to better match the BIS perspective than the Paper Jam one.
How many did the original Minion Quest have?
For me "deserving" is a tricky word because it would rely on a number of factors, but people don't really take those factors into account when thinking of the characters. It doesn't help that we can only guess at what Sakurai criteria for fighters is outside of "I need to visualize how that...
Man those latex (?) overalls really make Waluigi look off compared to everyone else.
Then again, I suppose that's the fun of comparing the Mario Bros and the Wicked Bros. Like a weird spot-the-difference puzzle.
It screams lazyness, especially after how Minion Quest got its own artwork.
Also the Directs used Junior's full Paper Jam artwork despite the Junior Clown Car being totally absent so far.
He'll probably be reusing a number of his SSS remake sprites, so I doubt that's the reason.
Then again...

Looks like you can choose actions for the sub-captain as well.
Also, King Bob-Omb's timer gimmick seems to be back.
Well, they did say in the Miiting that the reason there were no OCs was because of all the Paper doubles running around, so in a weird way, it was.
Hopefully, the fact that almost every other facet of the Mario series (including Mario Tennis) can branch out should serve as a wake up call. Either...
Seems like they're more willing to take liberties this time around, plotwise. Junior actually meets the bros for example.
Also, the amount of units has increased to 15.
Also, hey beatniks. Can we put these fears about no more OCs to rest now?
I doubt anyone would be willing to risk leaking the whole roster again.
It would be interesting to know if any content gets removed like the Tharja trophy did though.
I'm gonna be the odd man out and say that I liked Mario Party Advance. It was weird and different, but it did what it wanted to do decently. Also it has my favorite Bowser line so that justifies it in my eyes.
Besides, if you're really that desperate, it came with Mario Party-e so you could...
Neither does Bowser Jr.
From what I recall reading, he was actually added in later prints of the cover. In the earlier version, he wasn't there at all. That's partially why he's so small.
Early Smash aesthetics were pretty rough (though 64 specifically seemed to be going for a comic book feel).
Part of me wonders how Mewtwo, Bowser and Marth would have looked had they made it (since they were planned).
I honestly think Smash's depiction in general is a more "realistic" interpretation. At least he kinda tucks in his arms and whatnot rather than leaving holes as the above image shows.
I'm talking specifically about that move though. They changed it in Smash 4 and changed it back in Ultimate...
Now that Squad Strike is a thing, let's come up with some Team names for them. I'm themeing mine after KOF Teams so:
Trouble King Team: Bowser + Ganondorf + King Dedede
Melee Villain Team: Bowser + Ganondorf + Mewtwo
Young Protege Team: Bowser Jr. + Diddy Kong + Alph
Retro Remix Team: ROB +...
I can't speak much for it either. I suppose it's possible but you'd need a devoted server for them or something. As Winstein points out, Bethesda does it, but I don't know too many others that do (does Rockstar do it?).
All of Bowser's recent fights have been too good for Mario Party
Mario Party 10's in particular is very impressive considering the game/series it's attached to.
I just realized that :bowser: & :bowjr: technically swap fight strategies in Mario Party Star Rush.
Because in that game, Bowser Jr. (albeit, still in his clown car) becomes giant thanks to Kamek's magic while all three of Bowser's fights involve him using a mecha.
I think it's moreso that Nintendo isn't Valve and they probably don't expect people to make mods on PC and then load them onto their consoles (especially if it involves taking advantage of exploits).
As probably the third or fourth Bowser aficionado on these forums, there is nothing wrong with Bowser being portrayed as goofy.
But it is a problem when people fail to recognize that he's still threatening in-universe. It isn't the late-N64/Gamecube era anymore. We even had a game where Bowser...
I'll probably be okay with anyone.
To be fair, you really don't have a choice for Midgar.
Also, it's ironic you say that considering how "My Music" was overhauled in this game.
Nothing points to him being disconfirmed. Granted, nothing really points to him being confirmed either.
At the very least, he'll already have a stage if he does make it in.
I have to agree with Princess Mario.
Granted, Melee's is helped by Melee's sound direction in general being amazing, but the rock just doesn't work with the theme, I feel.
I also feel that it somehow sounds worse in-game rather than listening to it on its own.
