Ok if you notice in the first part of the video where the player is browsing through the roster, it only has the 12 Mario players. This means that the FF and DQ douchebags are unlockable. Thus, the possibilities for more Mario/DK unlockable players are...
I just downloaded the game and everything you heard about the physics is true. When Sonic is standing it feels like he has a chain ball tied on his feet. He feels extremely heavy and takes a lot of time to accelerate.
So the game is coming out on January 28 in Europe. That's pretty good. Tomorrow we 'll find out if there are unlockable players in the game. Any Japanese people in the forum let us know
I haven't played the game and even though I respect your disliking of the game, I 'm gonna have to disagree. Donkey Kong is still back and this game is a good basis for future sequels and possibly a 3D game a la Mario Galaxy. I miss Funky, Candy, Dixie, Kremlings, Enguarde and the underwater...
Nope no more Kongs, that's 100% sure. The only thing that I wanna know until I get the game on December 2 is about the 0,001 possibility of K.Rool being the final boss in the Golden Temple.
I don't hate the 3D Sonic per se, it's just that they made his motion really bad so that you can only run and not walk in all directions like Mario does. Don't forget that in most 3D Sonic games there is a narrow "corridor" in which you can move. They tried to fix that by making Were-hog in...
How can you tell about the unlockables? If they exist, why would Square Enix reveal prior to the release of the game? We 'll find out for sure on the 25th.
Itaki Street DS is not a proper Mario game and the Sonic crossovers cannot be compared to the FF dumbasses being thrown in Mario Sports Mix. Look, I don't have a problem with the FF characters per se, it's just that great characters like Rosalina, Dixie, Funky and Hammer Bro were cut off for...
lol can u really blame me? I mean it's ok for one game, but can u imagine this trend being established for the next Mario Party, Strikers, Sluggers, Kart etc games? freaking insane that's why i hope SquareEnix is limited to making the basketball games if it's really necessary to have them...
Has anyone played the game yet? I played it and it's kinda cool. Tons better than Sonic Unleashed. The good thing is at this game you actually move in platforms, search for hidden items and you don't run all the freakin time like a maniac as in previous games. Another good thing is that the 2D...
yeah Mario Party 8 was really really bad. Very few characters, no interesting stuff and hideous graphics (only the 75% of the screen was used). Hammer Bro was in it at least...
I think that they are going to be in the standard roster, but it's also possible that they have to be unlocked. The point is it would be very weird if there aren't any other unlockable players and if there are, why would they reveal them right now? We 'll have to wait until November 25.
Ok, guys I just had an idea. Who said that there aren't other unlockable players in the game? Maybe the FF characters aren't unlockable, but they are generic like the standard Mario characters in the game, but they weren't visible in the website just to surprise the fans. For instance, I just...
@Wiggler: The camera is definitely improved in SMG2 because you can fully rotate your view in 360 degrees. In specific places where you can't use the camera you either don't need to or the game doesn't let you to make it more difficult. It's not a mistake.
Do you know what's the thing? Retro didn't even use Funky or Dixie in DKCR, I wonder if MSM would bring them back without them appearing in their own series. I really hope that they will, I don't wanna see characters like these being thrown away.
DKC was incredible not just per se, but mainly because it was the mother of DKC2, DKC3 and DK64. It has incredible legacy therefore. SMB is definitely not as good as SMB3 or SMW, but it would be an insult to call it overrated and the same goes for DKC.
OMG people I just got the 242th star! What a challenge! Anyone that hasn't beat completely the game and bitches about it should shut the hell up because this game kicks ass. Amazing game, congrats Nintendo. I hope you will complete the trilogy soon.
SMGalaxy 2 is underrated, because everybody seems to be complaining about it barring the game reviews. Btw I 'm at the 242th star, omg I 've lost like 100 lives and I still haven't got it! This is definitely the toughest challenge in a Mario game ever.
Both. And then again they are different kinds of games so you can't really compare them. In fact, I think that they both are better than the DS equivalent titles.
Hammer Bro for the win! I've actually stomped him with a ground pound in SM Galaxy 2. It feels so good. They used to be real bastards and much harder in SMB and SMB lost levels because they were throwing more hammers.
PER Feel_Good (am I using it right? I don't even know wht it stands for lol)
Regarding Pokey, have some more respect for him because now a crawling Pokey is a boss in Donkey Kong Country Returns.
Barrel Blast is called Jet Race in Europe. Regarding MS Sluggers, I mean do use a downloaded copy of the game or did you actually buy the original NTSC version? Just wondering how the homebrew thing works.
It's only Rambi and Squawks who will be limited in a small role (he helps u find puzzle pieces). Plus, the Pig in the checkpoint can be seen as an animal buddy, maybe the whale in the trailer too. Other than that, the rocket barrel replaced Squawk's function in DKC2 & 3.
None for me too. Plus this isn't DS where they are allowed to experiment more. They know that people will get pissed if they see random characters in the Mario roster.
Dixie, Funky and Rosalina should be regular, that'd be awesome. I don't know about Petey Piranha though. He's too large, too clumsy and too weird looking. I like fighting him as a boss, like in Mario Strikers, but playing with him isn't my cup of tea.
Yeah, plus they had Funky's render already designed from DK Barrel Blast and DK Jungle Climber. I don't know if u've noticed but they used the same concept art for DKJC and MKWii (check out my avatar).
Speaking of rendered designs, they reused most of MKDouble Dash designs in Mario Kart Wii...
