Well, I didn't make it. I went up the Ladder to tie for Rank 75, and only the top 32 can move on.
Oh well, gave it my best, so no regrets. Cool experience just to take part in a Nintendo-sponsered tournament for the first time! ^_^
75 out of ~250 isn't bad, though.
Super Mario Maker 2
Super Mario Maker 2 is a fantastic expansion from the Wii U's Super Mario Maker. New course elements like the long-requested slopes, expansive updates like the Master Sword and Koopalings, and local multiplayer made this game stand out from it's predecessor. But it also gets...
Tomorrow, I will be partaking in Nintendo Super Smash Bros. Ultimate May 2020 Online tournament, being part of Region 1. Based on how well I do, it very likely will go all day, with further information TBA. I probably won't be active in my communities tomorrow because of this.
(Unless I...
While I have N64 bias for N64 Rainbow Road, it is not the greatest course. Way too overly long, and sections just made it way too short. But it looks beautiful and it's great.
But I'm going to continue with my N64 bias and say Royal Raceway is my favorite. There's enough turns to make it no so...
Literally the only rule is "video game-originated character". Sakurai can make a moveset from anything if he wants to.
...He can also break that one rule if he wants to. It's his game.
(Sorry for the wait)
You can weigh the chained platforms by throwing the deactivated Armos onto one end. The more Armos on the platform, the heavier it will be. It's a scale platform.
There's a bombable wall next to the left platform that leads to somewhere.
And then I *think* there are...
I read some articles before that said you should look away from a screen for 20 minutes for every hour of consumption. But looking at some articles now, the information seems to vary, though taking a 20 minute break every hour sounds like a decent piece of advice.
I think it varies from person to person, but I do believe staring at a screen for too long can cause some amount of damage. At least for me, staring at one for too long can cause some strain and tiredness... and I stare at one all day due to my projects and job.
Yo, is it possible for user tags to auto-update when they are changed? For example in my thread here ( https://www.marioboards.com/threads/42409/ ), mine (Alex95) and John Doe are still displayed despite both of us having changed our username (Nightmare and Vera Misham respectively). The link...
This so called "Killing Game"... Sounds like my type of fun...
Ha... Ha... Ha.. Ha...
AHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Fools! You think you can distract me with your... pathetic stock market? The only bartering I deal with... Is you, begging for your life!
Ranked Super Mario Odyssey at number 36. This puts it between Donkey Kong Country Returns (35) and Portal II (37).
This also makes Super Mario Odyssey my 13th favorite Mario game and my 8th favorite Mario platformer.
Main reason why the Final Smashes changed were to have them not take too long. Sakurai even said this, saying something like he wanted the players to get right back into the action.
The Triforce does appear in BotW, though not as a physical object. They likely changed it to be more fitting with...
Easy Mode bosses would basically just be a text discussion, you would try to convince them to give up the Gem. Or if they aren't a talkative bunch (like Swid, Powerbird, etc.), the battle just kind of doesn't happen. The game will work really oddly, that's for sure, but I'm still working with it...
uh i should probably update this more
Introducing some new modes!
Difficulty modes: You can choose between Easy, Normal, or Hard.
Easy Mode removes battles entirely. Just enjoy the game's story without worrying about losing to battles. However, some of the game's content will be inaccessible...
It feels like they made 999 the arbitrary number to meet and then told the devs "Okay, we need this many Power Moons" and just scattered them all over the place. Don't get me wrong, making that many Power Moons and finding places to put them is impressive, but I think it would've been more...
You can try Special:PasswordReset and give it an email to send a temporary password to, or you can get a hold of Porplemontage.
Fair warning, making a new account will cause it to get blocked.
Gone are the days where a Star poofs out of your head when you hit 100 coins.
Hmm, I did enjoy the game a lot more than I thought I would, though the amount of Power Moons feels overwhelming. I don't know if I will ever feel compelled to 100% complete it. And if I do, I don't know if I'll ever...
I'll just make this into a general review thread, I suppose. I beat Odyssey, so I may as well talk about it :P
Super Mario Odyssey
Going in to Super Mario Odyssey, I saw many people saying it was a return to form to the Super Mario 64 or Super Mario Galaxy format. Even Nintendo made this...
Well, they certainly still exist, but they aren't really being used a lot. I have a feeling that once the final waves of amiibo for Smash are released, that'll be it, unless Nintendo comes out with a Skylanders-esque game that uses them all.
