Mario and Luigi are allergic to posing for artwork and it makes them sneeze, so they have to hold their finger up to their nose so they don't sneeze and ruin the model. The voice clip of Luigi from Mario Party 7 where he says, "A-CHOO! Oh, sorry" comes from one of these posing sessions.

i think 36 is a much more reasonable age for mario than 24 yeah, he looks a bit younger without the moustache, but i like to think mario is someone who would be older than he looks because he takes care of his body

That's honestly the best idea I've heard. I don't think they've done anything like that before in a Mario game. Really, I think the only Nintendo platformer that does something like that is Kirby sometimes.
