Day 3: 8-Bit music
Hate to be the 1000th person to pick Shovel Knight, but... An Underlying Problem - Shovel Knight
Also I'm disappointed whoever made this didn't put "8-Bit music" on day 8 like "16-Bit music" is on day 16.
Day 2: Opening level music
I guess First Search - The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (remake version) counts? It plays the first time you explore the main world, and perfectly encapsulates the feeling of finding your way through a mysterious, unfamiliar world you've just woken up to.
I'll try Hard Mode (even though I know I'm going to end up finding another favourite from the same game)...
Day 1: Title screen music
Off the top of my head, I was going to say New Super Mario Bros. Wii's title theme, but after recalling more games I've played, it's definitely Hollow Knight's.
Name: Kasumi Yoshizawa
Series: Persona Series
Rank: Ace
Opponent: Red Lucina, giant blue Palutena
Stage: Wii Fit Studio
Music: Last Surprise
Conditions:
- Defeat the main fighter to win
- The enemy (Palutena) favours up smash attacks
Kinda wish P5R came out before the Joker DLC or they added...
Counting arrangements only:
Super Smash Bros.: Melee Opening (Brawl)
Super Mario: SMW Fortress Boss
Donkey Kong: Crocodile Cacophony
The Legend of Zelda: Gerudo Valley (for 3DS)
Metroid: Vs. Ridley (Brawl)
Yoshi: Yoshi's Island (for Wii U)
Kirby: King Dedede's Theme (Brawl)
Star Fox: Corneria...

With how much they're pushing ARMS (including adding the wallpapers back to My Nintendo), I wouldn't be surprised if they're making an ARMS 2 and plan to announce it at the same time, and the fighter will be a new, main character...
(Since it's still early on in development) Predict who will be the six fighters in Fighters Pass Vol. 2 and see how many you get right by the time the sixth fighter is announced. They can be predictions based purely on who you think will likely get in, and/or your most-wanted characters...
QUICK update:

Played some great games last year (highlights asterisk'd below), and that's not even counting my favourite which isn't even on Switch:
SteamWorld Dig 2*
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion
Celeste*
Hollow Knight*
Stardew Valley*
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Splatoon...
Parts of games that you accidentally spoiled for yourself or someone or something spoiled for you and how.
Quite a few for me (mostly my own fault lol) though the ones I remember:
The fact that Nintendo thinks it's a good idea to have the game freeze every time someone gets hit in multiplayer. Seriously, it's been in every platformer, and while it isn't a problem in single player, in multiplayer it just throws off the other players. For anyone who's played the Mario vs...
Question:
Should even the most obscure Mario subjects still take priority over the Smash subjects title-wise?
Final Smash (mission) --> Final Smash
Ike (The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!) --> Ike
Smart Bomb (Nintendo Comics System) --> Smart Bomb
SteamWorld Dig 2. I'd go so far as to say it's my favourite game I've played recently, period. The first one was already great, but the second one improves upon it tenfold. The world is enormous, the visuals and music set the atmosphere of each area extremely well, and each upgrade, both to earn...
Re: 20 Day Video Game Challenge - Day 18: Game you really should've played by now
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door and Super Smash Bros. Melee
I was a PS2 kid, and being GameCube games, they're slap-bang in the middle of the spectrum between "old enough to be released on Virtual Console"...
Re: 20 Day Video Game Challenge - Day 17: Favorite genre
I don't have a specific answer for 15 and 16, since so many games apply.
Metroidvanias, since they combine two of my other favourite genres, platforming and action-adventure.
Re: 20 Day Video Game Challenge - Day 14: A game that never gets old
Have to go with Crash 2 again, though a few of my favourite games, SNES games like Yoshi's Island, and Tetris count as well.
Re: 20 Day Video Game Challenge - Day 11: Five of your favorite video games
Metroid Prime
Super Mario Galaxy
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Re: 20 Day Video Game Challenge - Day 10: Favorite game as a kid
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, tied with another I already mentioned, Spyro: A Hero's Tail. I got Warped before it and I didn't have Crash 1, but I always preferred Crash 2 for its levels and music and because it didn't...
Re: 20 Day Video Game Challenge - Day 9: Favorite villain
In terms of despicableness:
For sheer likeability, though, probably Hades from Kid Icarus: Uprising.
Re: 20 Day Video Game Challenge - Day 8: A game that not enough people talk about
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, mostly due to it being overshadowed by Link to the Past and Ocarina of Time, though it seems like people are remembering how good the game is now that the Switch remake has...
Re: 20 Day Video Game Challenge - Day 7: 5 of your favorite OSTs
Spyro: A Hero's Tail, one of my childhood games that, as a kid, got me sketching out ideas for similar "games" of my own, which subsequently led to my interest in game design.
Originally Samus, but most recently Marie from...
Happy to see my first Zelda game is getting remade, I feel like it doesn't get as much love as it deserves. Definitely looking forward to that and Mario Maker 2. :D
