Cameos in games, microgames etc. and Mystery Mushroom costumes, which pretty much apply to many of the currently unmerged Smash subjects. I'll also include subjects that have non-Smash info already covered on other, more appropriate articles, like Blinky's appearance in the MKAGP series on...
Speaking of.
Yeah still prefer the original, which is a shame since Nagamatsu is like my favourite arranger at Nintendo. I get this version better suits a Smash match, but imo the original's fitting (and epic) enough for both to be included.
EDIT: We also now know who sang the English and...
Super-late, but I support the creation of a {{media-quality}}. Considering our recently established rule of trimming full-length audio clips down to 30-second-or-less samples, it's a start.
Maybe I missed something (I was less active during the Smash Run enemy merge), but is there a reason why enemies like Waddle Dee and Starman are still separate articles? The only reason seems to be because they have roles other than Smash Run, but pages like Koffing and the enemies found in both...
A lot of people use "remix" to refer to arrangements, it really doesn't matter. Not to mention that's a different situation.
Unfortunately it's an arrangement, which makes me sceptical since the original was already perfect. Hopefully the game has both.
I'm gonna avoid spoiling myself and...
It's not every character, but I'm glad they're making an effort to give at least some of the characters unique victory themes.
On the topic of music, some new songs I picked up from the Nintendo Live videos:
Another Wii Sports title theme arrangement
Another Light Plane theme arrangement
White...
Managed to get some sweet merch from the Kirby Cafe gift shop during a recent trip to Japan, including a Kirby's Adventure-styled glass tumbler and the soundtrack. :D
The cafe itself was fully booked, disappointingly.
Managed to listen to it before YouTube went down for me, lol
Wouldn't expect anything less from Keiichi Okabe (Nier: Automata's composer).
Hopefully they're saving the ones from series that haven't appeared yet until the game releases. Can't wait for Magicant Ver. 2, Corneria Ver. 2...
No, I meant G&W, FF and Bayonetta, not the other series.
Welp, see what coming in with low expectations does for you
I guess he forgot or caught on and wanted to surprise us.
So going by the "one-per-series" pattern, only songs from Star Fox, Pokemon, Animal Crossing(!), Wii Fit, Sonic and Pac-Man are left. Assuming Game & Watch, FF and Bayonetta will reuse the same songs from Smash 4 according to their song count in the Direct, those series won't be getting any new...
Re: Yoshi Switch game
"Woolly World" worked because it was alliterative and rolled off the tongue. I feel like whoever came up with "Crafted World" missed that. (I mean, the name makes sense, though.)
Games already out:
Tomb Raider 2013
Metal Gear Solid V
Inside
Hollow Knight
SteamWorld Dig 2
Persona 5
Shadow of the Colossus HD
Okami HD
WarioWare Gold
Upcoming games:
Luigi's Mansion 3DS
Spyro Reignited
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
The Last of Us Part II
Metroid Prime 4

I was doubtful as soon as I saw that "game that must not be named." But it's a million times better than the original
I chose Celica, despite some of the criticisms on her artwork.
Also related I guess:
They got Awakening/Fates's main composer on board for Ultimate. Maybe some non-FE music as well...?
Not even kidding, literally just yesterday when I was playing Heroes I was thinking, "What if the home menu theme somehow got into Smash but sped up to suit a match?"
Now I just need Epic Yarn / Woolly World's composer. (I know David Wise isn't in, unfortunately.)
English version for the Chrom/Dark Samus gameplay video; seems like they reused Laura Bailey's voice clips for Lucina.
I kinda wish there were better entrance animations for some of the characters instead of simply "jumping onto the stage" like K. Rool there.
One thing I just noticed is that Yoshi's new idle animation is the same one from Yoshi's Island (File:SMW2yoshi.gif). Sakurai at it again with the attention to detail.
Yeah, I noticed this has been a trend, too. I've already heard another Duck Hunt medley, Wrecking Crew medley, Lost in Thoughts (the list goes on). Personally I'd prefer more songs that have never appeared in Smash before in any form.
I really hope there are more Metroid songs unlockable than the ones listed in the Direct. Of the 25 total, tracks no. 14-23 were shown, meaning most of the songs not shown are from before Prime, unfortunately, since they're ordered chronologically. Hopefully SR388 Surface from Samus Returns for...
