Well, Bowser Jr is a major antagonist in a main game, that sort of allows him to do that since he's instantly more recognisable.
...That statement can totally be turned against me if someone brings up his other siblings, so I'll say it now; the Koopalings were once forced into spinoffs over...
I watch a guy on Youtube (a known YTPer), and he updated today with this showcase of old animation from Mario adverts. It's ace, most of these are new to me!
It even has Wart on the red carpet!
;D
Huh. Well, it's definitely jazz here, so he is being developed (as Charged came before Sports Mix...obviously).
Edit: Oh that's where I'm getting confused! That's where he had the tune that sounded like a Bond theme, and I usually associate Bond with Jazz. :/
Daily Koopa Commentary #3
I lol'd at the music genres of the Koopa courts;
Koopa Troopa Beach; RAWK.
Bowser's Castle; RAWK.
Bowser Jr's Boulevard; JAZZ...wait.
It was the same in Mario Striker's Charged too, right? The little tyke is sure developing into his own character with the less...
The only thing I notice is that Bowser Jr is yet again being indecisive on his defining traits. He's speed. Some games give his speed as his lowest stat of all, I guess Squenix decided otherwise.
Strange, since unlike in another franchise release, Sonic Colours (which I found to be good but disappointing), Retro made it clear from pretty much the start that the aspects you wanted were not going to be in at all. Sounds like you just built up an illusion based on the thought that they'd be...
So the negatives are lack of fanservice?
Seems like a good'un to me. I'm only put off because I found DKC3 really hard, and this looks to be on that same level.
Everyone said that 20 was too low a roster for Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games and that there'd need to be at least 24 to make things even.
Just saying that Nintendo are not above odd numbers.
It happens every time another company makes a Mario game. Square Enix resulted in SMRPG (which did have blatant FF references in it), Mario Hoops 3-on-3, Itaki Street DS (or whatever it was) and this. SEGA resulted in the two Olympic crossovers. It's always happened, so why complain now?
The only mistake is that it's a little short; it should be "It's not a Mario game worth playing because it doesn't have Bowser or Peach."
I jest, DK and Luigi are too cool for school as well. B)
She could be from Wales, Northern Ireland or Scotland. Maybe.
Speaking of which, I don't get how why Yoshi's Island DS (it undersold, didn't it?) is still £25-30 for new.
Well, I'm a Brit, so the place I got them from would also be British. This is all GAME has on them on their website, thus far, although it is available to buy now in store even though not online yet. This is the only American equivalent, thus far.
Series (wave?) 4 won't have Bowser either...
I'm not talking about any game, Goldie (the Mario mini figurine people) have released series 3 of the collection, and it has Fire Mario, Peach, Donkey Kong, Dixie, Yoshi and Toad. Bowser still has yet to be in the collection!
I'm surprised Dixie got the shaft (or so it seems so far), they've just released series 3 of the figures and it has her and Donkey Kong in it. Dixie before Bowser, the nerve!
So you've effectively been double-conned, then? Because £25 is about $40USD, and the game is only retailing for $30USD. For the EU, 32 euros would be $45...Holy mackeral, you're paying 150%!
They know people will get mad, but do they CARE that people will get mad? I know a lot of people were bemused by the playable Pokey in a tennis game I forget.
Being knocked off the skateboard when you didn't collide into a Rhynoc is not fun, though. And it's bad because I can't go back to it later since Hunter gets caught after two levels into Evening Lake until you get to Midnight Mountain.
Ugh, Season of Ice, how difficult you are. Haven't played Season of Flame, it's the only one aside from Spyro Adventures/Attack of the Rhynocs I haven't, actually.
Edit: Skateboarding is annoying to me, if only because the collision detection could be glitchy.
I like Spyro. I'm more of an Original Spyro person than LoS, although DotD was a decent time filler. Faves have to be StD and AHT, even though I played GTG and YotD first, and also were my favourites for a long time.
...
*leaves thread before she can begin to start spouting off on THAT subject*
Re: What race is Peach?
That's their only origin story at the moment.
Although Mario Bros (NOT Super Mario Bros) is indeed set in Brooklyn according to the creators, so maybe they've either visited there or their ancestors herald from there.
