In a few years, when I get close to turning 30, I imagine that I will be banned from the Super Mario Boards for being too old. I should really get a life at that point.
This might be an unpopular opinion. This doesn't really ruin a game for me, but I've never been a fan when a series that starts out with defined characters switches to having you create a custom character. The designs often feel more generic to me, and the dialogue for such characters is usually...
Happy New Years, European Mario Boardsters.
Edit: I should have said Happy New Years Mario Boardsters in Europe, Africa, Asia, and Oceania who celebrate New Years according to the Gregorian Calendar to be more accurate.
There are some similarities between Mario and Asterix now that I think about it, both being short mustachioed heroes with a large nose that use power-ups that give them super strength.
I hope it's okay to start this thread. Post your art here, and I and anyone else who volunteers here will critique it for you.
Rules for critiquers:
1. Don't insult or discourage anyone who posts their art here.
2. Talk about specific details of the art, don't just say that the art is good...
I think that it would be a bad idea for Nintendo to turn Mario Kart into Nintendo Kart. I don't really mind the crossover elements that are already in 8/8 deluxe (except the Mercedez-Benz karts*), and I don't mind other big crossover series existing/being created, but Mario Karts identity and...
Well, Kevin Afghani's Mario voice sounds younger than Charles' to me. But I think that Miyamoto has said in interviews that Mario is supposed to be in his mid 20's, and I assume that hasn't changed.
I've just never really thought of anything to put on my profile wall. It seems that some people use it as a miniature blog to give random updates on life and stuff, but I don't really feel like doing that myself.
Goonie and Raven, the weird seagull and crow things from the Yoshi's Island games would be fun as plushies.
Look at them, don't you just want to throw them against a wall as hard as possible?
I think the design is good on it's own, but I'd prefer that if the Mario roster added a new female character, they design someone that looks a little less derivative. It seems that most mainline human female Mario characters are inspired by Princess Peach in some way, who was inspired by the...
Potato, huh. I wonder if there was intended to be some kind of relation to Professor E. Gadd with them sharing those very distinct glasses, or perhaps they just share the same optometrists prescription.
Made with a laptop track-pad and my terrible memory. I think the expression is actually pretty funny. It looks like Yoshi is slightly disgusted/disturbed about something.

How about an introduction episode, where they introduce themselves to us who don't know the characters other than that they're from a video game. Perhaps since they're in the real world they'd be able to play their own video game.
Whoa, hey, I still have an art thread? Anyways, here are a few Mario doodles I made. I'm not a great artist, but I have fun. See you in several months with more art probably.
I was able to finally beat the level I was struggling with It was tricky at first, but once you learn the timing to keep your control stick pressed into the wall until you wall jump, the level becomes quite fun.
I like when Video Games use real photos to represent food, or highly realistic models even when it clashes with the rest of the art style. Like in Smash Bros, Tomodachi Life, and I think many games in the Kirby series as well. I don't know why, it just makes me happy.
To me it depends on the kind of remake. If the remake is meant to be very faithful to the original than I'd prefer a pragmatic adaptation of no greater than option 3, but if the remake is meant to re-imagine the story and game to the vision of the new designers than options 4 or 5 are...
Avi Arad apparently was behind production for a lot of the non-disney Marvel stuff. Wes Ball directed the Maze Runner trilogy. That doesn't really do much for my expectations one way or the other... My standards for a Zelda movie are a lot higher than they would be for Mario.
-A Yoshi game that leans into his Dinosaur/prehistoric theming
-Mario Kart Maker
-New Mario RPG with Undertale inspired Combat Encounters, but with mini platforming segments instead of wasd bullet hell
-New Donkey Kong Country Returns
-New Mario Baseball
I liked the game enough to base my original username on it, but I'd also prefer to replay the other 3D-platfomers. Mario Odyssey works best the first time because of the new locations and sense of surprise. The actual gameplay objectives can be a little too easy and repetitive, and there are so...
I'm a little confused about the concept of canon when it comes to fictional franchises. The term seems to be a little vague to me. Since it's all make-believe, I haven't really understood the deal with sorting things into canon or non-canon.
Officiality is if the work was created by the...
