If they were to add King K. Rool as downloadable content, I wouldn't care who else were to get in. Why they decided not to add him into the game despite the overwhelming amount of demand, I'll never know.
Pretty much this. I had such high hopes for Generations at the time it was announced, but it ended up being a total letdown. I'm not saying that the game sucked, I'm just saying that it's not all it was hyped up to be.
Yeah, but according to Iizuka, nothing from the Game Gear games were added...
Even as someone who grew up with Duck Hunt, I think this is a stupid addition. A character who's nothing more than Assist Trophy material being added as a fighter over many often-requested characters like K. Rool or Ridley? Really?
That's because Retro Studios chose to make it that way. It would be another thing entirely if Rare took the rights with them when they were sold over to Microsoft, but that's not the case. Instead, they flat-out said that he doesn't need to come back. Plus, I don't recall Duck Hunt being any...
I actually agree with you on this one. There's really no damn reason why K. Rool shouldn't get in this time around. The way he's been getting shafted over the years has been inexcusable.
There isn't really a whole lot that I have in mind for the next installment, other than Antasma's return. That way, they'll be able to make up for the complete and utter waste of his potential.
Consider yourself lucky. I, unfortunately, ended up paying full price for that piece of garbage, and I regret doing so up to this day.
Ah, I forgot to mention. Another crappy game I own is some Game Boy Color Spiderman game, whose only redeeming quality is the music.
As far as popularity is concerned, I'm not too sure. One thing I do know is that I found that Snowmads to be a step up from the Tiki Tak Tribe by a longshot.
Games like King of Swing, Jungle Climber, Barrel Blast, Super Mario Strikers, and Mario Super Sluggers, and more recently, Super Smash Bros. 4 have all blown the "Rare has the rights to the Kremlings" theory out the window. Retro Studios, for whatever reason, simply chose not to use K. Rool and...
Yes, but time travel was actually entailed in that game's storyline. It even had cutscenes throughout the game which showed this. In Yoshi's New Island, it happened out of nowhere, and there was no explanation given for it.
Dream Team and Yoshi's New Island. Need I say more? Yes, I know they were made by different subbranches, but they're still prime examples. The former, I'm especially outraged by, but since you've already seen my thoughts on the matter, I won't get into too much detail with it. Even if Bowser is...
At the risk of sounding like a broken record, the closest character I've come to hating is Bowser. I personally consider him to be the single, most overrated video game villain of all time. Not only are most of his plans repetitive and generally lacking in the originality department, but then...
I disagree with this completely, and I'm saying this as someone who not only hasn't played through Partners in Time in its entirety, but hasn't played the game in eight years. Even the small portion of the game I did experience was better than just about anything Sticker Star had to offer.
I know I'm in the minority, as usual, but I thought Nabbit was fun to play as. Even with his invincibility, he isn't nearly as overpowered as he initially seemed in the Nintendo Direct trailer.
If Sticker Star wasn't on this poll, I would've voted for "tie". In any case, I've voted for Super Paper Mario, since that's not only the first I've beaten, but it's also what truly got me into the RPGs in the first place.
Is Sticker Star a bad game? Yes, it is. I'm sure I've already explained why many, many times, but I'll do it again. Almost everything that made the Paper Mario series so legendary in the first place, ranging from its gameplay, the unique, story-driven plots, original characters, etc. ended up...
Which Super Mario Bros. 2 are we talking about, here? USA or The Lost Levels?
In any case, the only one of those games I've played that wasn't the least bit impressed with was the first Mario Party. All the others, I either enjoy or, I'm pretty indifferent about them.
Re: Paper Mario Sticker Star vs Mega Man 8 and X7 vs Metroid Other M vs Sonic 06
Yeah, but X's (good) ending showed that there was clearly enough room for another installment, and even with Zero's revival in the next game, it didn't conflict with the Mega Man Zero series in any way. After all...
Re: Paper Mario Sticker Star vs Mega Man 8 and X7 vs Metroid Other M vs Sonic 06
What was wrong with the story in X6, exactly? Other than Zero "hiding [him]self while [he] tried to repair [him]self", that is.
I still don't understand what you mean by this. I haven't seen Bowser act any different in Super Paper Mario than he has in any other RPG (aside from Sticker Star, where he was merely a mindless, rampaging monster).
Re: Paper Mario Sticker Star vs Mega Man 8 and X7 vs Metroid Other M vs Sonic 06
This.
A few weeks ago, I watched some video on Youtube regarding what the uploader considered to be the worst weapons in the Classic series, and once they got on the subject of the Mega Ball, of all things, they...
Now that's awesome. In fact, it turned out even better than I thought it would. That's not to say I was expecting it to be terrible or anything, I'm simply saying that it exceeded my expectations. Thanks for taking the time to do this. I appreciate it.
