I don't understand why they couldn't have just chosen the 3DS for Game Boy Advance games instead of the Wii U. At least that way, the games could have been played anywhere, without being bound to an outlet plug or the Wii U controller's limited range.
As other people have pointed out, not only are DS games still in stores, but the 3DS is already backwards compadible. Plus, the Wii U's off-screen play feature has severely limited range, which almost completely strips the DS and GBA games of their portability.
The Mario VS Donkey Kong series is dead to me. The only one I truly enjoyed was the first one. While I did like the second game to some degree, it wasn't enough for me to 100% it like I did with the first game. Then when they went and rehashed the second game's formula for all the sequels, I...
I don't know about anyone else, but I think this is a stupid idea. In fact, it's even worse than GBA games being on the Wii U's Virtual Console, and that's saying a lot.
Star Fox Adventures is my favorite Star Fox game, so I wouldn't mind getting another one like it. That is, as long as we at least get a more traditional title first.
Mega Man 1- Cut Man or sometimes Bomb Man if I don't want to go to any stage twice.
Mega Man 2- Flash Man
Mega Man 3- Top Man
Mega Man 4- Drill Man
Mega Man 5- Stone Man
Mega Man 6- Flame Man
Mega Man 7- Cloud Man
Mega Man 8- Frost Man
Mega Man & Bass- Cold Man
Mega Man 9- Tornado Man...
Hmm... It doesn't look like a bad game, but judging from the presence of Kamek and all the other enemies, I already have a pretty good idea of who the main villain is. As always, I'm sure the final boss will be simply brimming with originality.
I'm not angry about it. In the post you quoted, I was basically saying that Sticks' design was clearly based off of Marine's, and that I didn't see how Neptune or anyone else could possibly say that there's no resemblance. Sticks basically looks like Marine in a redesigned form, much like the...
That's an entirely different matter. Mario and Luigi are siblings, so of course they'd look alike. Design-wise, Sticks is such a clear, blatant rip-off of Marine that it might as well had been her. Sure, it can be argued that she's supposed to be an "alternate universe" equivalent of Marine, but...
Fine, you're entitled to that opinion, but the thing is, there are more people in the fandom than just classic purists, something that Sega/Sonic Team has forgotten almost entirely. Again, their opinions are not the ones that matter, and I'm sick of them blatantly disregarding everyone else just...
"Fans" as in classic fanboys, that is. Apparently, Sega/Sonic Team seems to believe that people like them speak for the entire fandom, even though they don't.
True, but that would probably mean that they'd have to add Blaze, and nowadays, anyone who isn't Sonic, Tails, Robotnik, Orbot, or Cubot are getting treated as if they're insignificant. Just look at the half-assed roles that were given to Knuckles and Amy in Lost World.
While I agree that the game was garbage, there are some good things about it, such as the Koopalings having personalities. Iggy's, Wendy's, and Ludwig's in particular really stood out to me.
I never once said that Returns was a terrible game. I enjoyed it quite a bit, and played almost non-stop the first day I got it. I just felt that the game left quite a lot to be desired.
Some of my most hated characters are the Tiki Tak Tribe from Donkey Kong Country Returns. Every one of them are such bland, generic, and soulless characters with absolutely nothing likeable about them, other than their character designs.
I get them from video footage, articles, or whatever source of information is available. It's exactly how I knew Sticker Star was a disgrace before I even played it.
Re: The Official Dragon Ball/Z/GT/Kai Thread
Wait, so now Toriyama's saying that Beerus is the one who sealed the Elder Supreme Kai? Back then, it was explicitly stated that Old Kai was sealed up, because someone feared his ability to unlock hidden powers, and that the person in question was...
I agree completely. I don't see how Miyamoto could just suddenly go back on over twenty years of established information. To me, saying that they're not Bowser's kids is almost akin to saying that Mario and Luigi aren't brothers.
Kirby's Adventure stands out as my all-time favorite game in the series, mainly because of it being the first one I've played. Superstar is a pretty strong contender, though.
Waluigi in main games? I don't have a problem with it.
Unfortunately, the closest he came to being the main villain of any game was Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix, and they couldn't even keep that up without copping out.
Launch trailers are up for the next two.
This may sound strange coming from me, of all people, but I honestly don't think Game Boy Mega Man II is even half as bad as so many people say it is.
SolarBlaze -> Solar Man -> Bass -> Ballade -> SolarBlaze -> Krazy Monkey -> Enker -> Doom Phantom -> Zoycite -> Blaze the Cat -> Mystical Ninja -> Solar Blaze -> Mephiles the Dark -> Nitro Man -> Forte -> RKN-003 -> Doctor Nega -> Classic Sonic -> Nack the Weasel -> Mighty the Armadillo ->...
Not necessarily. At one point, the Mario Kart series was one of the very few spin-offs that I actually liked; at least to the point of being willing to spend my own money on it. It wasn't until I played Mario Kart Wii that I lost interest in the series. Then there was Mario Kart 7, which hardly...
Aside from a select few, I think adding different variations of the same character is a bad idea. Just look at Mario Kart 8's roster, which has "wasted potential" written all over it.
