Re: The Official Dragon Ball/Z/GT/Kai Thread
True, but Piccolo ended up getting interrupted by Majin Buu's regeneration when he was about to finish Babidi off.
That's kind of ironic, because I used to find people complaining about Donkey Kong not being playable in the next two, which is most likely why all the other Kongs, for the most part, haven't been playable outside of two-player mode in the recent games. Plus, I also remember seeing people praise...
Looks like the Game Boy titles are finally heading our way in May.
All I have to say, is that it's about damn time. Not only has it been nearly a year since the initial announcement about them coming to the 3DS Virtual Console, but Japan already has all seven of them, while up until this bit of...
That's the Sonic fandom for you. Lots of them are never satisfied with anything. People complained until they were blue in the face about the boost in Unleashed and Generations, then when they finally got rid of it, they whine about Sonic not being fast enough.
Re: Yarn Yoshi
No. They were originally announced alongside one another as seaparate games. Plus, as Hypochondriac Mario pointed out, they were being handled by two different companies.
Re: Yarn Yoshi
They're not the ones I'm concerned with. I have both of those games, and I enjoyed them. The thing that worries me is that Tezuka's involved.
Re: Yarn Yoshi
I just hope this game doesn't end up being a straight rehash, like Yoshi's New Island. Although, I'm almost a hundred percent certain of what the final boss is going to be.
This. I can't stress it enough, how overrated Mega Man 2 is. That game has some of the worst level design in the series, and yet it's somehow met with next to nothing but praise among the fanbase, even to the point where they act as Mega Man 3 and onward don't matter (which is why Mega Man 9...
Re: Koopalings Talk to Each Other in their Everyday Lives
I'm far from being the biggest Bowser fan there is, but I couldn't help noticing how...out of character that is for him to say.
I've seen that before, and my opinion still stands. Any weapon that can't be used against bosses without taking damage, yourself in the process is an automatic fail in my book.
I can't tell you how disappointed I am that this song wasn't put to use in the iOS/Android remake. It's far more fitting for Hidden Palace than the two-player Mystic Cave theme, in my opinion.
The games I have more than one copy of are:
*Super Mario Bros. (as part of a compilation cartridge, the Wii Virtual Console, and as a ROM saved on my computer)
*Super Mario Bros. 2 (same, plus Super Mario Advance)
*Super Mario Bros. 3 (same, plus Super Mario Advance 4
*Super Mario World...
As always, you've pretty much hit the nail right on the head. Just a minor correction, though... Wart technically appeared in two games, but the other was a Zelda installment, though. Still, that (along with BS Super Mario USA (which apparently takes place after the main SMB2) clearly indicates...
Re: The Official Dragon Ball/Z/GT/Kai Thread
Yeah, that line was a classic. That would have been a pretty good backstory for the Moon Blast technique if Vegeta hadn't claimed that Bardock was a scientist. In all fairness, though, that episode aired about three years before Bardock: The Father...
Re: The Official Dragon Ball/Z/GT/Kai Thread
I actually like the Ocean dub, to be honest, but I guess it's mainly nostalgia on my part. After all, it's what truly got me into the Dragon Ball series in the first place. Even though it's heavily-edited (complete with laughable censorship), it...
Re: The Official Dragon Ball/Z/GT/Kai Thread
I've noticed. I don't know about anyone else, but I personally find the Japanese score to be incredibly overrated. Aside from maybe a few songs (that weren't recycled from Dragon Ball), there are next to no tracks that were truly memorable and/or fit...
I don't know about anyone else, but I wouldn't mind seeing the Koopalings in a 3D Mario platformer, just as long as there are original bosses along with them. I was hoping that'd happen in Galaxy 2, but...it didn't.
