Wario is an actual name...
(although as far as i can tell he is literally the only person on wikipedia whose name is wario, and even then it's only a last name)
The most likely answer is that it's a leftover from Super Mario 128, but my first thought was that it was some kind of giant doll that the Pikmin could find as a treasure.
Template:MK8 also has a footer. Second verse, same as the first. Although wouldn't it be easier to decide colors for each of the footers beforehand, instead of adding them only after they're needed?
Jingle Bells? The opening bars kinda sounds like it, I guess, but that sounds like a stretch.
I'm pretty sure that's supposed to be the point.
But Yoshi's New Island?
Their "life force" was getting sucked out of them, though. The Shrooms weren't intentionally turning them into mushrooms - at least, I don't think they were. I always assumed that's what happened to Toads when they become too weak.
At least this time I sprinkled in some historical facts? I can't help it, I like history and I'm a sponge for the kind of useless trivia that the game provides me.
It's probably one of the throwaway nicknames that Mario got in one of the franchise's tournaments, and clearly someone thought that people would be searching in droves for this very specific nickname and not the name of the person it was obvious attributed to.
edit: yep
The franchise has a reputation for either comical villains (Bowser is the butt of every joke, King K. Rool steals all of the bananas which is Very Important) or comically megalomaniacal villains (Shadow Queen wants to take over the world, Bleck wants to destroy literally everything). However, I...
I'm pretty sure it's just one guy who keeps churning them out even if nobody's reading them. If I had to guess, it's either a kid who enjoys both the Mario franchise and Diary of a Wimpy Kid and just wanted to write stories about them, or it's someone who saw all of the other crossovers between...
Considering that we already have a dedicated article for the failed Archie comic pitch (Archie Mario comic), which basically states that "it is a failed pitch" with some images and not much more, I don't think it would be inconsistent for these to also get articles. At the same time, I'm not...
the director of software toolworks, the same studio that made mario's time machine, is now the executive chairman of a company that specializes in anti-gravity treadmills

like congrats on moving up in life and being successful buthow
Maybe Luigi actually did blow up the Moon, and the Moon that we see in every other game is the fake one! Maybe they were both fakes! Maybe you're a fake! Maybe the entire franchise is a fake!
Or maybe this is just a piece of terrible writing.
As someone who's more versed in anime, I can at least say that it's unlikely that the manga will be modified in any serious way. Nowadays, since a lot of Western-oriented anime is online, where its consumers are plenty able to see the previous versions, the content mostly remains unchanged...
MarioWiki:Navigation templates (MarioWiki:Navigation_templates#Colouration) says that "if a footer is added to a new class of templates, please alert an admin so that they can approve the colour choice and add it to the chart." Well, Template:TA (misc. Yoshi) was just created, and it uses a...
Considering that their strategy for protecting Peach when she is being attacked right in front of them is "cowering and running away", I'm going to say that they're not particularly reliable.
I'm terribly sorry for not using the definition of "roster" that you seem to be using, which doesn't seem to be listed in any of the online dictionaries that I quickly browsed through. I beg your pardon for being a part of a joke that lasted for all of four posts in a thread that's already at...
I haven't made a habit out of playing old edutainment games, so I unfortunately can't compare the two games. Also, there are a lot of Carmen Sandiego games.
My insane ramblings would just become more insane as the thread developed. It's tempting, but I don't think that I have enough witty comebacks within me to support the entire game.
I was actually planning on moving to Mario is Missing afterwards, but I'll probably take a break just to make sure...
One question: do non-sentient plants belong on the species categories? Obviously, in real life, animals and plants are equally species, but the way the category's been used on the wiki has been haphazard. Sometimes (Beanstalk) they're species (Tulip), sometimes (Fire Flower) they're not (Ice...
MarioWiki:No-signature policy states that MarioWiki:Proposals follows the no-signature policy. This is not the case anymore (MarioWiki:Proposals/Archive_38#Disallow_signatures_only_in_voting).
i'm so meta even this what is this nonsense
I slogged through ugly graphics, monotonous gameplay, a ludicrous plot, an unlikeable and moronic protagonist, the same five annoying voice actors, and glaring errors and oversimplifications for what is supposed to be an educational game. I went...
