Double Dash!! was the first Mario Kart game I properly owned and played through. I played the earlier ones a few times, but I never got the chance to get them myself.
I think it was because those three were supposedly added late into the game. They could have easily been given appearances in the SSE (look at how the Ice Climbers, G&W, and even Sonic entered the story); however, their late inclusions could have been the thing that stopped them from making...
Haha, it is true that I used some influences from the Melee events to make this one; however, I didn't realize how similar it was to Peach's Peril (completely forgot that one :-\). I guess it still might be kind of a like a retake to an old event if anything (like nostalgia to the Melee...
Might be a late reply; however, seeing these characters would have definitely made this game a winner to me. I just wish that Nintendo wouldn't skip out on essential characters in the future as opposed to just taunting their fans with Mii suits of them or giving the characters no appearances at...
I haven't been banned here nor on the Wiki just yet (don't worry, I don't intend of doing anything of the negative sort either). I tend to help the Wiki itself more for its benefit as opposed to bringing it down.
To be honest, Raichu on the otherhand does need some attention. It barely gets the attention and recognition that both Pikachu and even Pichu receive by Gamefreak. It's a little bigger and supposedly less cute than Pikachu, yes, but sadly it doesn't seem to get anything special as well. It's...
And what's wrong with sequels to SMB2 and Wario's Woods? Sure, Toad was playable in both; however, both games were very unique additions to the series and were also very enjoyable in my childhood and even to this day. I definitely do wish that Nintendo would give more attention to these games...
Name: The Mushroom Retainer
Character(s) used: Toad
Stage: Princess Peach's Castle (returning) / Final Destination
Objective: "Bowser's arrived to capture Peach, and Mario's nowhere in sight! Protect Peach at all costs until Mario arrives!"
Explanation: Peach will be provided at a high...
Meowth's a neat choice and he does have some importance to the Pokemon series especially through his appearance in the Pokemon anime; however, it is true that adding Meowth could "overkill" the amount of first gen reps in SSB4. Even in Brawl, it seems like Mewtwo got the axe because of the...
Espeon has always been the most reliable to me so I guess I would have to go with it. :) Indeed it was my first Pokemon to reach Lv. 100 in both Pokemon Silver and Pokemon XD as well.
Vaporeon and Leafeon are two other Eeveelutions that I have fondness for as well (the former being my...
It could be possible that Yoshi was meant to be represented as the generic green Yoshi as like in the Yoshi's Island games, so he pretty much helped whoever was in need of assistance and since Link was there he was pretty much the partner made for Yoshi as opposed to Mario (who was shown as...
I don't think you have to worry. This topic is a fine one and it's better than quite a lot of "odd" topics existing here.
Personally, my favourite number is 4.
I personally think he is overrated especially since his debut till the early 2000's, but the hype for him by Nintendo has slightly died down for now (considering that he didn't receive a game for quite a while). He does still have a large fan base regardless.
I used to like Yoshi; however, I...
It's ironic considering that fans are getting tired of the old formula Nintendo has been using for nostalgia after Sunshine as of now. I guess Mario fans are hard to please either way.
I personally want something new or at least a return to SMB2 (mostly this) or SMS.
Agreed, though I'm sure that either Sakurai or Nintendo will release one later on just for Smash Bros.. Hopefully, that poll comes out of Japan this time.
I also agree on that aspect as Nintendo really does seem to rely on rehashing SMB1 and SMB3 a tad too much as of recently. The mainstream games and even the spin-offs are all relying on those games as of now as opposed to making any new changes for the series.
While I agree that SMB1 and SMB3...
Haha, I feel the same (I'm actually quite shocked Toad did that well :o).
Still, it doesn't seem that the poll might be the greatest support for future characters (it doesn't seem related to Smash Bros. aside from having these characters - maybe it is, I'm not sure :P).
Also there is the concern of whether or not this list of poll characters is the same as the one from the same poll on another magazine discovered in the Smash boards which had these characters and Mario in first place (rather confused of which to believe):
1) Mario
2) Link
3) Pit
4) Kirby
5)...
The bigger screens are really the only attraction for the handheld if eye problems still continue to be a problem with the 3DS. However in my opinion, the 3DS XL really does look rather bulky and it somewhat defeats the purpose of the handheld system being convenient and easy to carry.
I...
Basically any enemy not named Shy Guy and Bob-omb from SMB2.
I'd love to see Tweeters, Phanto, Snifits, Ninji, Ostro, Cobrats, Auto-Bomb (in spite of my luck with them), Albatross, Flurries, Panser, Porcuopo, and even Birdo (as an enemy) to come back. *Wishes for a SMB2 remake/sequel soon.*
Quite true (he did really differentiate himself in Return to Dreamland).
So far in the case of Yoshi and Toad, it does seem that Nintendo has put some effort into making them less generic (for example Toad (with his red spots and blue vest) is more differentiated in the spin-offs now and same...
Indeed this is quite true (Baby Mario and Baby Luigi are more underrated now than ever before - the other babies though deserve less attention imo). Sadly, I think the hatred towards them seems to have arisen only after Mario Kart Wii because I don't remember much people hating Baby Mario and...
That is where I might be wrong. I was thinking along the lines of the other companies that might charge for DLC. Nintendo will likely keep the extra content free (at least for now based on how far Nintendo went with the concept as of recently).
I honestly agree that Nintendo should continue...
Should Wario's Woods even count as Wario's game? The only association he has with it is the name when it really was Toad's starring role (though sadly Wario does seem to get the credit).
From where the poll's sources indicate, this poll seems to have been conducted only with a few participants (less than 200 hundred based on how Pit's score was less than 200). This counts for an extremely small amount of Japan's population.
I personally don't think this poll will have that big...
Agreed though sadly it seems that both are just meant to be have generic appearances so they ideally represent their species as well as stand alone as separate characters.
Though I do agree that it would be nice to have some differentiation for them (apart from their species). Perhaps giving...
To be honest, Rosalina can be considered rather overrated especially as of lately. There was quite an uproar when fans discovered that she wasn't in Mario Super Sluggers a few years back (and that was shortly after her debut appearance). Even to this day, she still has many fans calling out for...
Downloadable content.
Basically, any form of content that players can obtain or buy after the game is released. Quite similar to the QR codes from MTO. This can include extra levels, characters, etc..
Maybe Digimon characters are more likely now (since Bandai did develop them). Finally, a chance for Pokemon vs Digimon. :P
Either way, I'm interested in how this will turn out. In spite of that, I am quite curious as to how Bandai got into the development party for SSB4.
I am also quite fond of the new Koopaling artwork and I also do agree with you on the fact that they deserved another appearance. They may look slightly different than their SMB3 looks; however, this helps to differentiate them better as well. They all look very unique now; yet, pay homages to...
Toadette's exclusion was an odd one personally and considering that she was a fan favourite in the previous games, her being axed really did surprise me (I mean even Birdo made it in even though he/she/it joined the series later than Toadette). Hopefully, Nd cube does not repeat the same mistake...
You do have a point there, but sadly Camelot seems to think he's better suited as a ref (he's only a ref in their games excluding MT64). :(
Though I guess Toad did get the better part of the deal considering he did make some form of appearance. Toadette and Baby Luigi should have definitely...
Definitely agreed. These three should really get some much needed attention in their next appearance let it be a spin-off or not. A great chance for at least Toadette and Baby Luigi would be for a new partner based system spin-off to get announced (we haven't had one of these for a while). At...
Agreed, but just hopefully not replacing Toad again (hopefully Toad gets a more active/different role while Toadsworth plays the supporting roles in the future). :)
Toadette too is long due for a new appearance as well.
I'm going to have to choose Toon Link here. Unlike Young Link, Toon Link bears a drastic difference in design in comparison to regular Link and I always did like his design for another point personally. Tatanga is also correct in the fact that Toon Link's design is a lot more notable to the...
Perhaps you might be right. Though he's nowhere in the group artwork so far. :P
I'd have to agree strongly with you. The NSMB series is getting rather redundant at this point of time and the series does really need something new to really bring back the older market. Still Nintendo is getting...
Nice find Kat-rin Koopa! I personally haven't seen those images as of yet, but it's very nice to see new artwork for the enemies as opposed to the same NSMB1 artwork we've had of them for quite a while now.
I'm sure that the Koopaling fans are going to be quite pleased to see the new artwork...
I guess it was just my luck with them when I first encountered them years back. :) Also I have to agree with you about the Flurries. They really were unpredictable and it was their presence that really forced the players to really time their jumps well or at least fast enough. Not to mention...
Metal Mario isn't the worse character; however, I would have better accepted him if Camelot had at least included the essential characters as opposed to just making them Mii costumes/not making an appearance and having recolors of the most famous characters being available instead as playable...
Fortunately I had the effects of the Propeller Mushroom at that time, and only lose the power-up form. With that I knock you and your army down via the use of a Pow Block, and set up a protective barrier around the throne and the Toads. :P
We use the stopwatch clock from SMB2 to stop time and utilize various tools to free ourselves from the chamber. I then use an ice flower to freeze you for the time being and share the throne.
A time portal opens and sucks you to the distant future where thrones cease to exist. After you get sucked in, the portal closes and disappears. I now snag the throne back.
Throne share.
