Aah, I remember beating Cynthia in about twenty minutes in Platinum. Good old overleveled Empoleons. They never let you down.

Psh. EVERYONE knows that there is a mass conspiracy against ANY Kecleon. Even if a Kecleon joins your team, they're constantly being plotted against by another Kecleon. Pokémon Mystery Dungeon is one mass Kecleon conspiracy.

Yes. In fact, everyone is a Ditto. XD Only kidding, I acutally meant: They only pretend to be weak and helpless, really they're building up their strength so they can murder Kecleon. By pretending to be weak, they can watch what you do and use it in their great plan later.

Then they all come from the future of darkness and didn't become normal afterwards. They snuck into the portal with you and Grovyle. /not really Or, because once upon a time, they were innocent Pokémon in a mystery dungeon at the Kecleon shop. They forgot their money, and Kecleon defeated them...

Another game I can think of in which Peach can defend herself is Super Paper Mario. Although that may be just me, because I like the Peach vs. Mimi fight so freaking much. :D The Toads just need more BACKBONE, as said before.

Dawn in her Platinum attire would be epic. Infernape, Grotle and Piplup sounds like an interesting team. Also, Dewott sounds like a great choice. As does Mewtwo's return. Zoroark or Victini....hard to decide.
