The problem is any real big change to the series could create a huge upset in some of the fanbase. Which is sad, because Mario is getting more and more obsolete as I see it. :(

When production of the system ceases and no new games are released, although homebrew games may be made.

It has to happen sometime, although preferably not anytime soon, given the fact that non-3DS owners will be stuck playing old DS games.

I know that the MarioWiki mostly comprises of young adults and thus comprises of topics like "I have a new avatar/sig in case you didn't notice, let's have a thread for that for some reason." That does not bother me. What bothers me is that this makes it very hard to have serious discussions...
