Mario Party 4, while I did find the boards were a bit boring, the minigames were the best in the entire series, every one of them was fantastic besides luck-based minigames. For boards, 3 would certainly have been my favorite with the items, and Duel Mode was pretty fun.
Bowser likely is back, in gameplay videos I've seen of the E3 demos, when they die, the Bowser face icon is shown, similarly to Mario 64 and many games after that. So I definitely see Bowser returning even if he isn't the final boss or anything.
Probably should yes...
Re: Mario Kart 8
^ For Wii U games, I'd have to agree with you. Kinda sucks it's not releasing until 2014, but at least they're going to be working on it for longer than I expected. (making the game hopefully better)
Toadette and Walugi returning is good as well, maybe we'll see Rosalina in...
I think they are, that's what it seems like. A developer of the game said that the warp pipes are now transparent, so that just makes me think they all will be.
Also, yeah, good that Chargin Chuck is returning.
Re: Mario Kart 8
The game demos are only in a few Best Buys in each state in the US, and only a couple in Canada. I have a Best Buy about 3 or 4 minutes from my house, but they're not going to be available there.
I prefer having the actual game cartridge myself. Of course, downloading the game would be a lot easier than having to go out to a store and buy a physical copy, and if a store was sold out you could still download the digital copy.
While I don't prefer it, it's still nice they have it there.
Re: E3 2013 Super Smash Bros. 4 Discussion
Mega Man being in this is awesome. But uh...Wii Fit Trainer? Don't think they should've added her...all of her moves are probably going to be yoga poses. I honestly don't get why they put her in this, not a big deal though.
Re: Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze
Liking the return of Dixie Kong. With the camera perspective changes though, probably would've been better as a 3DS title.
Didn't like 3D Land too much, I thought they'd announce a more open world title. Didn't expect a 3D Land sequel.
I do like Cat Mario though. :3 And Peach being playable is cool.
Also, those transparent warp pipes make no sense to me.
Re: Mario Kart 8
Closest one to me is about 2 and a half hours away.
Really like how this looks. The gravity machine things are cool, makes it a bit like a Mario Kart Galaxy. Probably my favorite shown on the Nintendo Direct today.
Certainly was not expecting the new Plants vs. Zombies game to be a third person shooter, but it looks interesting at least. Probably not something I'd buy though.
I have all of the Warioware games actually...
Favorite is Twisted, the microgames were really fun, and I liked the gyroscope. DIY was also cool since you could make your own. The others weren't bad, but also weren't all that great.
I'd say get DKCR 3D if you haven't played the Wii version yet. (which others in this thread already said...)
If you have, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate would be a good choice. Haven't heard much about Lego City Undercover: The Chase Begins though, so I couldn't say.
I agree with this. While I do think it's more of a Mario platformer than an RPG, there are still the RPG battles, even if they're real-time instead of turn-based.
Well honestly it would just be weird if you actually WERE able to jump. The games are not platformers, so it probably wouldn't make much sense anyway. Also, you already mentioned some things in the game wouldn't work with the abilty to jump.
I went with Ephraim (I didn't have any real reason, but I do like him better in battle), probably will play it again, in which case I'd go with Eirika.
Re: E3 2013 Super Smash Bros. 4 Discussion
If Mewtwo is in it, should be his new form from Pokemon X and Y. If Mewtwo is in it though...I doubt Mew would be. Waluigi is unlikely...he wasn't even in Mario Kart 7, which is a Mario game.
Nope, didn't notice. That's kinda cool I guess.
As for me...I'm currently only waiting for Pikmin 3, really excited for that. There's nothing else I want for the Wii U right now. I'm hoping Mario U turns out looking good, and that there is a new Zelda, Metroid, and Kirby game for Wii U by...
Seems boring just like NSMBU, not something I ever plan on getting. I do find it cool Nabbit is playable in this though, he's not someone I imagined playable in any game. The boxart is also nice I suppose, but I think most would be dowloading it as DLC instead.
Re: A Legend of Zelda: A link to the Past 2
^ Well it seems to be set in the same area, so that makes sense.
It looks kinda cool, I reLly like the Link drawing thing where you can sidestep on the walls. Seems like something Paper Mario would have though.
Yes, basically like another Nintendo Land with games that have nothing to do with Nintendo series...It doesn't seem they totally removed the microgames though. In one of the trailers, there was something with 9-Volt where there were some microgames.
