If you haven't heard of them already, you should check out The Megas. They take songs from Mega Man (mostly 2 and 3), and turn them into rock songs with lyrics that generally fit whatever level/theme it's doing. They also have done stuff for Castlevania as well.

For me out of the main series it's Mario 3 or Mario World. It's hard to pick between them, because depending on the day I could go either way. Honorable mention to Mario 64 although it's not as timeless as the other two.

I'm gonna say the Mario Bros. and Mushroom Kingdom friends. Mainly because they're usually hosting something fun like go-kart rallies, sports tournaments, and party sessions that would be fun to be involved with.

I've been to Disneyland which is technically Anaheim and not Los Angeles but it's the nearest thing to me being to one of the cities and Google lists it as part of the Greater Los Angeles area so I'm counting it. Vancouver is the closest I live by but I have not been there.
