Wow, you're good. I know I'm out of practice but still... Your style is different from those tourney goers, yet you still 3/2 stocked me. Look forward to playing you again. Link is kinda my main in training, though Lucario and Luigi are my mains.
P.S. Sorry 3rd person who wanted to join, you...
Ah thanks for bringing this back to light. To be honest, I had pretty much given up on doing this since it was so tedious.
I was also trying to overcome one problem in regards to users who color-blind/color-impaired. I was thinking about adding a text indicator about the result of the proposal...
My only wish is that they balance them out a bit more among the cast and not turn them into instakill moves (hello Super Sonic and Landmaster). Also, the process of gaining FSs should not be skewed towards the better jumper/aerial attackers.
As of 11/12/2012
Tackling the remaining stubs is a grueling process; 1.3% of all articles remain as stubs (or exactly 162 articles). Pretty conservative progress since the last update, but progress nonetheless. Most unstubbed article were likely level articles, so thanks for taking care of...
I'll leave that up to the mods to decide. Probably doesn't need to be pinned though, the only project that has been pinned is the Levels collab and that should probably go down at this point.
It wasn't scrapped really, just never done on a wide scale before.
Remember to only use this to italicize games titles/series and whatever else we normally italicize.
That's awesome, Mario Kart GP series have always been a hard to cover niche of coverage. If you can get shots of items in the series as well, that would be great. A lot of the items in the series do not have articles yet.
Also, I've noticed that a lot of remaining stubs are level articles...
Good luck. The only way to get some real info out of those subjects is to look at video clips on Youtube. Unless you're fortunate enough to have a Mario Kart GP arcade machine near where you live and have the money to spend $5 per game session.
No, I totally agree with that. It's just a shame that he was so caught up on being right about such an arbitrary issue. We've never had a discussion like on the Mario (series) because it simply isn't that important. He wasn't that bad though, but he did deserve a block for being notorious...
From what I can tell, it is temporary though. That's a shame, he was a pretty intelligent guy though I can certainly side with the admins (as long as the ban is temporary).
What flamewar? Everyone has been civil in this thread.
EDIT: Sorry, didn't research enough about Legault's other threads. Anyway, why did he get banned?
EDIT2: Never mind. This post doesn't exist.
Okay guys, I'm finally done with transferring the old PipeProject into this collaboration. I added quite a bit of content and reformatted most of it (wiki->forum isn't exactly the easiest transition), so I advise you to read it again if you have read it in the past. I especially advise those who...
But where are all these criteria defined? Is it just the overall fan opinion or has Nintendo stated what criteria have to be met in order to be considered a Super Mario game? Of course what I suggested (about all games with Super Mario in the title being part of the series) is also just based on...
I always thought the Super Mario series was a bucket term. In my opinion, everything that includes "Super Mario..." is part of the the Super Mario series. I don't think it matters whether Mario is the main character or not. But essentially, "Super Mario series" is a fan term, which has not been...
I like the Wiimote + Nunchuck, but it's really hard to pull off advanced techniques like DACUSing. So when I want to fight serious I use GCN controller, but I tend to use Wiimote+Nunchuck for casual games.
Wario's sort of an anti-hero. For example, he didn't care one bit what happened to the damsel in Wario Land: Shake It!, as long as there was treasure in it for him.
You should have more than enough gold to buy stuff later in the game, especially if you've been grinding at the Tower of Valni. At the beginning of the game, there isn't much worth buying anyway.
We shouldn't decide this here, rather we need to amend the current Writing Guideline to fit our expectations of what generic subject constitutes an article and what doesn't.
Or even possibly make a Writing Guideline regarding articles on real life animals. There are multiple way to approach...
Yeah, the first chapters are ironically the hardest on high difficulty settings. It should be smooth sailing once you get farther along and you can bench the weaker characters for the more powerful ones.
You don't have to pay any gold at Tower of Valni, if that's what you're worried about.

How did the Adventure Time GIF appear in the first post? Adventure Time wasn't even prototyped way back in 2007, first run was in December 2008. Did a mod place that image in there and somehow made it so that it appears to have not been edited...
Joe doesn't really need an identifier though. None of the other Joes share the exact same title as him nor are they as likely to be searched as him.
If you guys need help moving articles, but can't because there is a redirect with more than one edit, let a sysop know so we can delete that...
Remember when Bowser makes his evil laugh when you enter the castle for the first time in Super Mario 64? That scared the crap out of me. And I was also 9 years old.
We have a YouTube account, but nothing has been done with it yet. We intend to use it for communication purposes only.
Yes, they are working on getting affiliated with Chuggaconroy. Not just one LP, but however many Mario related ones he decides to do.
Here the channel BTW...
This. If you're simply asking people to vote on a proposal, that's perfectly fine. Now if you're telling all of your friends or users to vote on your side, that is against the rules. However, don't get this confused with users asking other users to reconsider their vote. If they aren't...
Unfortunately, I'm a little too lazy busy to actually follow through with this, so would someone else like to follow up on the idea? Preferably someone who knows how to work YouTube and the announcement template. Do we have an official MarioWiki account on YouTube? If not, it's a better time...
Let's talk to him about affiliating with us on future LPs involving Mario series games. Could drive a lot of traffic to this site (considering it's Youtube) and more views to his videos, a win-win situation.
They look good. Two things though:
1. The images aren't matching in size. This looks awkward when looking at tables since some tables are more elongated than others. I placed (|25px) next to all the images on the lists, but feel free to adjust that size to whatever you feel appropriate, as long...
Yes, that does count because that is considered properly classifying stubs. I may write a new section just regarding what a stub is, supplemented with examples.
The post is still under construction, but I can't figure out where the broken link is. And somehow the instructions for merging pages...
Did you mean Bowser Poster? There are 6 poster articles total. I think those could be merged as well, maybe under a joint Poster (Mario Party Advance) article. They all function the same way the only difference being that they have a different appearance and cost.
I don't think the...
This collaboration is a successor to the Unstubify PipeProject. Many things are the same, just no sign-up list. I find that for such a general project like this there would really be no point since as editors we're all essentially responsible for preventing or getting rid of stubs.
The...
Re: Suggestion/Colab - Item Locations Template?
We already (Badge) have lists like that (List of weapons in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars). I think a standardized list template would be a bad idea though. It's better to build raw templates that fit the use rather than have one...
