Unfortunately, the commercials would have to be plastered with annoyingly trite and useless disclaimers in fine print should they go in these directions nowadays (at least in the United States).
I suppose the next Mario & Sonic game after this one will do a somewhat extreme take on what the Nintendo 3DS version of Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games did: have Mario, Sonic, and Mii playable in all events, but restrict the other characters of their respective teams to one event.
Unfortunately, that's not going to be easy. I just watched a video which demonstrates that there's no luck in Mario Party; almost everything's predetermined. Most of the subsequent Mario Party games don't have this weird ability, however.
NOTE: My apologies if this topic has already been done, but it'd be too much for me to go through every single one; plus, I'd rather have consistent topics.
With the final Nintendo Direct for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate out of the way, I figured I'd bring up a topic dedicated to...
:o Anyway, since I heard that adding Lucas to the roster was apparently a mistake on Masahiro Sakurai's part, Paula should've joined the roster from Super Smash Bros. Brawl onwards. Lucas, meanwhile, would be demoted to an Assist Trophy, where he could cast PK Love, dealing heavy damage to...
I'd prefer the roster to have distinctive characters who played significant roles in their original games. Paula from EarthBound would be a great candidate, even if Ness had to be given new special moves (on that matter, it's criminal that Paula is merely reduced to a brief appearance for Ness's...
As much as I adore the MOTHER/EarthBound series, Ness and Lucas sadly both qualify. Their adventures feel more appropriate for feature-length films (at least in Ness's case; Lucas's would need a major overhaul), since the games have random encounters and side quests that bring the stories to a...
Thanks, but I'd start a new topic about my concerns elsewhere, as they apply to other games in general (derailing topics is never appreciated in any forum). :-X
I never thought I'd say this...but I'm rather glad that the majority of you are against this rather arbitrary concept. However, I don't think I'm allowed to explain exactly why I brought this topic up, since this board is restricted for Mario-related content (I'd have to use the Super Smash...
I'd hope not. Such a Mario Kart game, which might be the last one in the main series, would focus heavily on extremely aggressive racing/battling (only overpowered items would appear, and at a frequent basis), bringing back every single racer, track, and mode from previous iterations (barring...
Unfortunately, the "nearly everyone's a coward" aspect is always going to be too much of an eyesore to overlook. I would've preferred that the supporting characters would treat most of the enemies Mario captures in a nonchalant, albeit slightly less beneficial manner (since Mario himself needs...
Unfortunately, Luigi fits the same bill as well. Granted, he did get spooked by Mario in his Boo form in Super Mario Galaxy (even though he retained his cap and facial features), but that's only because Mario looked too much like a real Boo. Here, though, it's just ridiculous. >:(
To be more precise, many of the supporting characters in this game will cower if enemies get too close to them, regardless whether Mario has captured the enemy in question or not. Even harmless "enemies", such as Coin Coffers and Moe-Eyes, will scare the wits out of these "poor and defenseless"...
