Kris was the first playable girl in the series. She is probably the most neglected female playable character as for she even got replaced in her remake game by knife head, Lyra.

I prefer Kris. She was also the first playable female protagonist, so this makes her feel pretty notable. I also always liked her over world sprite back in Crystal (the blue made her seem unique).
