Password problems

My password is 6 characters and in account releated setting to change user name, the current password says that I need to have least 8 character
 
...what?

How is that possible?

Only solution I can think of is getting your password changed by a mod (we can do that here, right?).

Au contrair, if he came to me, 22 or ralph, all we would be able to do would be to point him in the right direction.

So only the users with the ranks "Forum Administrator" or "In charge of forum" (or porple) will be able to help him.
