Should there be Art Competitions?

After looking through the MFGG Forums, I was thinking, is it possible for the Mariowiki Forums to hold Art Contests? Just a suggestion, really.
 
Yes, it is possible.
Just organize one.
 
On MFGG users get badges on their profile for getting 1st place, 2nd place, and top 5 in Art, Sprite, and Mini Game competitions. (I think it may be a little different for Mini Games.)

I don't think it would work here because I don't know if they'd be eager to add a badge system, and even if they were, I think a lot of people might be opposed to badges in profiles.

Just my opinion. I don't see a problem with organizing one like Yami suggested but I guess it would be completely for fun.
 
I'm sure there's a Badging System for SMF, as vBulletin, phpBB, and IP.Board also have.
But installing Mods to a Forum mostly requires file editing, by someone that has access to FTP of the site, and eventually some other stuff on the frontend.
 
Stooben has badges installed on Xephyr but Steve would have to be down with installing it here.
